Rather a disinterested greeting on arrival. Fresh fruit wasn’t refreshed with old slices of banana floating. Wine chiller broken so staff used the freezer, still broken the next night so they suggested ice cubes in the wine! When we left there more staff were at reception and they seemed to be much more helpful

Dear Mr M., Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize for the welcome you received upon arrival. I am very sorry that our colleague did not provide the level of attention and hospitality you rightfully expected. Please accept my apologies. I have addressed this with the team, and we will work on improving this aspect of our service. Regarding the wine, I believe there may have been a misunderstanding. I spoke with the colleague who served you, and according to their recollection, the specific wine you requested was not pre-chilled at the time. An alternative wine that was already at the proper serving temperature was offered, but you understandably preferred your original choice. In this situation, the colleague suggested either adding ice or placing the bottle in the freezer for a short time to cool it down quickly. Our wine cooler was functioning properly, and several other wines were available at the appropriate temperature. Nevertheless, I am sorry that your preferred selection was not ready to be served as expected. Thank you also for your comments regarding the fruit salad. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I have already shared your feedback with our kitchen team, and we will pay special attention to this matter to ensure better consistency in the future. Once again, please accept my sincere apologies that we did not meet your expectations in every aspect of your stay. We truly value your feedback, as it helps us improve. Lovely location, lovely old building. Great transport hub. Room very nice. Only problem was noise at night. Our windows on floor 5 weren’t double glazed, and the trams, metro and traffic kept us awake at night. Also phone to reception didn’t work. Gabor in reception was exceptionally helpful.
