I always stay here when working in Budapest. The staff are friendly and helpful, rooms smart and comfy and I always look forward to breakfast.

The stay was good. Room got upgrade to a suite on top floor. However there were only 2 small windows that are up high so absolutely no view. Late train to Budapest and got to hotel around 9:30-10:00pm and last 2 days of the trip so a little tired already. Check-in gentleman was efficient and offered us discount for breakfast, which we asked if our Accor member will give us complimentary breakfast. We didnt get a reply but was asked to make a decision at the spot if we want the discount, and only if we take both day. We didnt take the offer since it was late and we were tired. The room is decent and good value. However since no window (that can be opened), there is a smell. Next morning we checked with another young lady about the complimentary breakfast, we were advised it is available for the 2nd day (Saturday), which is good news. She also provided useful info whether we need cash since in Hungary they have their own currency instead of Euro. Breakfast is average, the smoothie is good. Waiting staffs are friendly and efficient. Lastly, only 1 smaller lift is available so may have to wait a bit.

Really enjoyed the location close to New York Cafe, Time Out Budapest and right beside metro station and trams for easy access to riverside and very walkable. Suite was lovely although the air conditioning might need modernisation this was the only downside. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a stay in Budapest.

Hotel dissapointed us, because the air conditioning system does not work properly in the room, and there was no ventilation in the bathroom at all. The beds was terribly soft. We liked the Budapest very much, and we will come back, but we will never stay in this hotel again!

We are truly sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations, especially regarding the air conditioning, bathroom ventilation, and the comfort of the beds. Regarding the mattress, please allow us to mention that our hotel features the Sofitel MyBed concept, which is designed to provide a very soft and comfortable sleeping experience. We understand that mattress preference is highly personal; therefore, for guests who find it too soft, we are able to adjust the bed by removing the mattress topper, making it noticeably firmer. We regret that we were not informed about this during your stay, as we would have been happy to assist you. Concerning the air conditioning, our system operates in either heating or cooling mode at one time. Due to the current weather conditions in Budapest, with nighttime temperatures still around freezing, we are unfortunately unable to fully switch off the heating. However, during the day, windows can be opened to ensure a more comfortable room temperature. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Your comments are very important to us, and we will certainly take them into consideration to further improve our services.
