On the outskirts of St Dizier but sat in its own well maintained grounds with abundance of free private car parking. Friendly efficient staff at reception. Attached Courtepaille restaurant for good food albeit a little understaffed during our visit, again the staff friendly and proffessional. Room clean and comfortable with super comfy bed.

Only once in 18 years have we had a problem, room no 9 had been double booked and the family had arrived first, as I am in a wheelchair I found it very difficult to use a small room and impossible to get into a bath. That was a long time ago and as I say only on one occasion only.

The room was small, but very clean . The receptionist was very pleasant. Our main complaint was the lack of sound proofing. We had a disturbed night through noise from above and around us.

Good friendly hotel but very poor restraunt

Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds and clean facilities. We have stayed here for 30 or 40 times. However the restraunt let's the stay here down. This is not the first time we have complained about the service and the quality of the food. On this occasion after being seated we waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken and then another 35 minutes for the food to arrive. The restraunt was not busy at this time. However the staff were working hard but we're badly managed. Several staff had a go at cooking which begs the question who was the chief? My berger was very small and overcooked and my wife's fish was tasteless. After driving 300 miles you want to sit down in comfort to a nice meal in pleasant surroundings. This experience may stop is using this hotel again.

A very friendly and welcoming hotel. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. However the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired

The hotel is very comfortable and good value for money. The Courtepalle restaurant is very poor. After being seated it took more than ten minutes to place our order and we waited a further thirty five minutes for our food to arrive. The Berger I ordered as very small and the fish my wife ordered was not as good as on previous visits. The staff were working hard but they were not well managed and there were insufficient staff on duty. Not good for a Saturday evening. The environment is very good but when you have travelled 300 miles you want good food and service. For this reason and this reason only we may not use this location again. This is not the first time we have complained about the food. we have made more than 15 visits to this hotel.

Coming from UK it took long time to find the hotel in view of many redirection and it took me almost 2 hour from Reims , But eventually I arrived and the reception was very good due to Aurelia's charm and a cold drink.The restaurant was also improved compared to last year ( a day the chef was off) and now it is up to standard. I will go again on my way from Italy to UK hoping the road are OK

We have stayed here many times and have always found the staff very helpful and peasant. Room is very comfortable although on our recent visit we were disturbed by a couple entering the hotel and the room next door at 3am in the morning. They were very noisy indeed until 5am and clearly not in the room to sleep!!
