Ok for an economical stopover

Basic and good. Room very cold, heating didn't work. Comfortable bed, spacious room. Good breakfast and receptionist very helpful. Good parking and convenient for motorway. A bit shabby in places.

My booking on the website started badly. Although I had taken care with the dates, when I studied the confirmatory email, it told me my booking had been reserved three weeks hence and not that very evening, which is what I wanted. The website declined to offer any option to amend the dates, so I phoned the hotel. The could not have been nicer, and my booking was swiftly changed. Indeed, I got the impression this sort of thing happened all the time. Website designers please note. My stay was calm and comfortable, and everything worked, apart from the TV’s reception of the BBC’s News Channel.
