I had an early flight so it seemed a good idea to stay near the airport. Definitely less stressful and the hotel have a shuttle to the terminal. Comfortable bed, so I set off on my journey rested.

It's the first time that I would like to write this long comment. Staffs weren't very welcoming, haughty, cold and lack of smile. We reserved a privilege room for 2 night but we didn't feel any privilege at all, far from it. The temperature in the room was hot for us, impossible to use air-conditioned, we understand that we are in winter period but in the room was hot and we couldn't get a good night sleep. The next day of our stay, there wasn't refill for mini bar in the room. At the bar, when we would like to get our welcoming drinks Accor Gold member, we were informed by the receptionist that we will get only 1 drink even we were 2 to stay there, so I explained that in every hotels we have stayed in France or any countries, whenever we reserve a room for 2 persons, we will get 2 drinks. Then the receptionist responded, at this hotel, they receive many customers and if they give away 2 welcome drinks to every guests Accor. They will be ruined! And those hotels where have given us 2 drinks, they were probably little hotels, so that's why they could give those drinks away. I was stunned with her responses. I explained further that those hotels that she was talking about, they are also 4 stars hotels as Mercure and included Mercure in other cities itself.. Moving on to the bar, we went to get a welcoming drink, I asked a glass of wine, I standed in front the bar and instead of pouring the wine from the bottle, the barman turned around and took a glass of wine behind the counter and said to me "Oh this has been poured not even 15 minutes ago" I was stunned again, it is unacceptable. This glass of wine could be from the last customer who refused to take it or it could be contaminated or whatever. After all this experience, I can only assume that this hotel would do anything to cut their costs, but that's only my opinion. If you want to stay at Mercure, please run away from this branch. Even in more smaller hotels, we had got better services.

We are very sorry that your stay did not live up to your expectations and that several aspects of your experience did not meet your criteria. Firstly, we would like to apologise if the receptionist did not express herself adequately regarding the welcome drink. Unfortunately she was not aware of the precise procedures and did not word her response correctly. In accordance with the rules of the Accor loyalty programme, the welcome drink is offered exclusively to the person holding the loyalty card, and not to all the occupants of the room. We understand that this may seem restrictive and thank you for your feedback, which will help us to better inform our guests in the future. We are also sorry that you did not find the expected comfort regarding the room temperature. Our hotel is currently equipped with a central heating system, which prevents guests from being able to adjust the temperature to their liking. However, we have taken note of your comment and plan to install individual air conditioning and heating in each room in the future for greater comfort. With regard to the mini-bar and the management of drinks at the bar, we sincerely regret the inconvenience you have experienced. Indeed, we strive to offer an impeccable service, and it is regrettable that this experience has left a bad impression. We are taking note of your comments to improve the quality of our bar service and ensure the satisfaction of our customers. We would be delighted to welcome you back to our establishment.
