We arrived late at night and the Reception was welcoming and explained what the hotel would be able to provide because of the restrictions in place due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Flight arrived at Mérignac airport at 20h00. We had loads of luggage (incl. golf bags) but rapid transfer to hotel by Mercure mini-bus and speedy check-in meant that we were sitting down to dinner at 21h30. Similar great service throughout our stay.

Our stay was booked at short notice for one night so we could attend a funeral having flown in from London. Everything about our experience was positive and exceeded expectations, including the welcome, the room and dinner. Breakfast was fine but at 9.15 we felt we were definitely at the end of the sitting. We were rushed leaving for the funeral and as we were leaving our case with the concierge, reception staff kindly let us settle the bill later that day.

Unfortunately, the hotel shuttle bus to/from the airport is not in tune with the flights schedules. For instance, there are flights taking off at 6 am and the first shuttle leaves the hotel at 5:30 am. This is uncongruent with an "airport-oriented" hotel.

Our shuttle service starts from 5.30 am to 12 p.m. If you have to take the first flight of the day, we can book a taxi for you at your arrival for 10€. Although we were only at the hotel overnight, it was a great experience. The hotel rooms are stylish with a theme per floor. Each room was comfortable and well decorated. The hotel reception staff are friendly and helpful, explaining all the usual amenities if you are unfamiliar with the Accor/Mercure experience. We had an evening meal and the thing that really impressed me was that the restaurant decor and ambiance was very much like a restaurant in the city, not a poor mans restaurant experience like you might get in some out of town/airport hotels. The food was delicious, very good quality and expertly presented (Just to note that the restaurant staff do not speak much English so dust out your french skills to maximise your experience. You can get by with little knowledge so please don't let that put you off). Aside from a slightly dodgy flush in the toilet of our room I have no complaints whatsoever. Although I did not use the car park, I understand you can use this for free, which is another bonus. When the tramlink comes all the way out to the airport by 2023 this hotel will be an absolute peach. In conclusion: A great introduction to SW France, or a good way to end a trip if you are overnighting before going home. The hotel does not disappoint.

Hard bed, shabby furnishings, unexplained fire alarm at 6am, cold food via room service, poor lunch. The only saving grace was the self-service breakfast which was generous and offered good choice

Throughout the hotel there was a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The rooms were excellent ( maybe some questions about the decor ! ) facilities in the hotel were good and breakfast offered a good choice and quality. The staff were friendly and receptive.
