The lobby area has all the charm of a soulless airport gate waiting area. This place exists to house tired business folk travelling on the cheap and it makes little effort to disguise that fact. The shower in my room had little pressure and was not warm. The bathroom was tired and damaged, and certainly not clean. Walls are thin, I could hear people coughing behind my head most of the night. Breakfast was fine and the staff are friendly enough.

Bed is mattress pad that is 2 inches on top of a box. No fridge, no coffee or tea, no shampoo or conditioner. bare bones if not spending much time in room. Convenient to train.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the bed and room amenities did not meet your expectations. The sweet bed by ibis is a our brand bed with a topper on top of a box spring to provide added comfort. Shampoo is available at both the sink and in the shower. Unfortunately, a kettle and conditioner are not part of the standard room amenities, and there is no fridge or coffee/tea facilities in the room.But we do offer this service down at the lobby. We understand that our rooms are more basic and are best suited for guests who do not spend much time in the room. On the positive side, our convenient location near the train station is something many of our guests appreciate. Checking in experience awful, arrived at 2.15pm despite being good told to wait until 3pm as no rooms available. Then at 2.40 another customer with another colleague seen immediately and given a room. I then quizzed the colleague on this and who had given me the original information, which was answered with its 3pm now and I don’t know the name of the colleague who had dealt with me prior. No explanation of facilities, or where breakfast etc was. Treated extremely poorly and highly disappointed

Having checked in online, I expected to spend minimal time at the desk on arrival. Instead, your staff member interrupted my room allocation to spend fully five minutes dealing with business with another colleague. This was insulting. Room 546 is not a quiet room which is clearly expressed in my preferences. Just what was the machine which was running all night through the wall? This is no way to treat a Gold Member.
