Both time, the staff helped me by printing documents I needed (train and events tickets, long story). They helped both time with this and it was very appreciated, otherwise I would have need to find a place to print in Munich. The only negative thing is the wifi : it simply did not work. And I know how computer works (sysadmin/devops myself) and there was just no way to make the wifi works. I asked the staff about this, always they were very polite and helpful, but they can't do the impossible : the wifi did not works.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the service at check-in. I was repeatedly assured that breakfast was not included in my booking, even after asking several times to double-check. Based on this information, I had breakfast elsewhere, only to find the breakfast charge included in my final invoice – meaning I effectively paid twice. When I raised the issue, I did not even receive an apology or any goodwill gesture. I am therefore very dissatisfied with both the misleading information provided by the staff and the way my complaint was handled.

The hotel was fine. The room was okay, but it could’ve been cleaner. There were pieces of hair on the wall in the bathroom. The snacks that were in the room due to the status were a nice touch. However, the donuts weren’t covered and seemed to have been sitting there for a while. It would be better to use a candy bar or cereal bar that is in a sealed wrapper. Breakfast was solid.

The hotel is located in an area near the Hauptbahnhof, which is not Munich’s best area, but makes most destinations walkable reachable by train and tram. The rooms are Ibis-style efficient. I would have loved to have instant coffee, too, in the room - not only tea bags. That’s a miss. There were also none available after asking at the bar. The team is very friendly and the Maxlrainer craft beer on tap is wonderful. Not often do you get such a good and special beer on tap at an Ibis!
