Good stay, close to main train station, friendly staff

The location is within reach of main station and has friendly staff, the bar was nice. There were a few 31C days and the room heats up a lot. The windows can't be opened and the aircondition does not cool the room (rather just blows air). In the first room I was given the aircondition did not work at all, so I asked for another room and in the second room we had aircon circulating air and a fan, which was great. Staff kept some medicine we had (which required refrigeration) in a fridge.

Hotel is about 10 minutes walk from main train station, allowing you to easily go to any where in Germany and nearby European countries. The bed is queen in name but is actually made up of 2 separate mattress and I can feel the gap in between. Please do not skimp on such things if you promise guests a queen or bigger bed. The room itself is spacious and has a nice view of the river. Housecleaning need improvement as they don't bother to wash dirty glasses nor replace the shower soap when it's used up. I had to go to reception to request for replacement. Breakfast is a good spread and I appreciate the effort made to change some items each day. Special mention for the croissant which is fragrant and crispy. If you need to leave the hotel before breakfast starts at 630am you csn request to hotel the day before and they will prepare a lunch box with sandwiches and fruits. This is a very nice initiative.

Very good breakfast. Good location. The only problem was the air conditioning, which didn't cool the room, and it was 30 degrees outside. It got very hot during the night. The hotel should have an ice machine available for guests because the rooms don't have a minibar, and you have to go down to the bar to request ice.
