The bed was comfortable and the bathroom, though not spacious, met my needs. It was scrupulously clean and the shower was fine. The bar in the lobby was very convivial. The hotel is only one minute from the River Main and a 15 minute stroll along the bank to the beautiful heart of the old city. It’s a 10 minute walk to Haupt Bahnhof, the central station. I like jogging so took the opportunity to do the Saturday morning parkrun in the spacious and elegant Nidda Park: it’s only about 4 or 5 miles away and accessible on the U Bahn to either Nidda or Hausen.

Ibis is always a dependable hotel with high standards at affordable prices in good locations. 10-15 minute walk from the train station, across the street from a park. The IIbis in Frankfurt is well worth a few Euros more.
