Thank a lot for possibility to have early check-in. We arrived at 7 a.m. and immediately received the room, so we rest and sleep very good.

The experience was good. It’s a cute hotel. The staff were very kind and accommodating. These rooms are simply tiny. You have to turn sideways to fit in the bathroom. I know this can be normal for Europe.

When I arrived at the hotel, the atmosphere was extremely strange, like in a very noisy night bar or a souk than a hotel lobby. There were A LOT of men gathered around the reception and bar area, speaking very loudly. It did not feel like the typical hotel environment. I had indicated that I would arrive between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m., but due to a delayed train, I arrived at 7:00 p.m. Despite this, my room was still not ready. I was told several times that it would be ready “in 20 minutes,” then “in 10 minutes,” then “in 15 minutes”… Finally, the receptionist suggested that I go to dinner because my room was still not ready. I was asked to leave my luggage in the room anyway, but it was in complete disorder, so I took my bags with me to dinner. My room was finally ready only at 9:00 p.m. The air conditioning ran all night and could not be turned off, making it impossible to sleep due to the constant noise. Breakfast was also disappointing. The selection was extremely poor compared with other Ibis hotels in Europe. Finally, I forgot an item in my room when I left the next day. I sent an email to ask if it could be returned to me, but I never received any reply. I have been staying at Ibis hotels across Europe for more than 20 years, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I have had in an IBIS hotel. I do NOT recommend the Ibis in Frankfurt/Main.
