We chose Sofitel Frankfurt Opera for a birthday weekend in Frankfurt and could not have made a better decision. From the moment of arrival, the experience was defined by elegance, warmth and impeccable professionalism. Check-in was seamless, and we instantly felt that this would be a very special stay. The room itself was beautifully appointed and enhanced by exquisite welcome treatments and thoughtful personal touches, creating a true sense of exclusivity and comfort. A particular mention must go to Concierge Philipp Schetter, whose exceptional attentiveness, refined sense of hospitality and perfectly arranged VIP treatment turned our weekend into something truly memorable. His efforts and eye for detail made us feel not simply like guests, but genuinely valued and cared for. The cocktails at the bar were outstanding, the atmosphere throughout the hotel sophisticated yet inviting, and the location next to the Opera is quite simply one of the finest in Frankfurt. We felt thoroughly at ease from beginning to end and left with the clear intention of returning very soon.

Overall it was a great stay with lots of value. The staff was very nice, especially the restaurant team. I really liked the room including the complimentary minibar. Really liked that the hotel had a partnership with the Fitness First across the street, in particular the separate entrance to the pool. The only thing that really was a bummer was that I was not able to use my Rewards Points for paying for my stay. It was initially confirmed through my travel advisor that this was okay, but apparently someone made a mistake here. Of course, I understand that for the Preferred rates, it is up to the discretion of the hotel, so I understand if the hotel does not want to allow it, but the incorrect confirmation was just not good. While not an issue for me this time, I can imagine that when on a budget and you expect to save some money this way (and have checked just to be sure), this could have been a problem. Regarding breakfast, I really enjoyed the à la carte menu options as well as the selection (decent selection, not too much). The only thing I missed was enough vegetables options to really make a healthy salad. I also really appreciated the pro-active granting of a late check-out. It was really nice to have the room still to myself until I had to leave for the airport.
