I received a surprise upgrade upon checking in; perhaps it’s because I’m the organizer for the event taking place at the hotel. Compared to my last stay, also for our event at the hotel, I didn’t get any welcome amenities and a welcome card this time. Not that I would expect; it’s just feedback when comparing the two experiences.

I stayed at Sofitel Frankfurt from November 20 to 22, and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. The room condition was outstanding—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. It provided the perfect environment to relax after a long day. The service was equally impressive. Every staff member I encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I especially want to mention Gina at the front desk, who assisted me during check-in. Her warm and professional approach made a wonderful first impression and set the tone for the rest of my stay. Thanks to the excellent room and the thoughtful service of the team, I experienced a completely smooth and enjoyable stay without any discomfort. I would gladly return on my next trip to Frankfurt.

I booked a prestige suite with breakfast long before the actual date. Upon arrival, there was only one bathrobe provided. The hotel has a peculiar lift system that requires assistance a couple of times before you understand how it works. Staff seemed preoccupied and only greeted us after we entered their field of view, even though the lift probably alerted them to incoming guests. The breakfast selection is typical of European hotels. The breakfast staff didn't know what congee is. Overall, it doesn't fit the category of a high-end luxury 5-star hotel.
