Excellent location, nice ambiance, service not up to par for the price. Reception staff couldn't see that I checked in online (incl. credit card authorization), wanted me to handwrite everything again. Credit card had to be presented again even though already pre-authorized. No "nice touches" in the room, no turn down service. Room also not as presented on the web page. All in all nice hotel in a cool location, but service more like in the €150 category.

This stay was booked by phone through Accor service in order to obtain one Suite Night Upgrade. Thats where the positive side stops.The reception was inexistant,below all standards of Sofitel. I asked for a quite room and received a room streetside with a lot of noise of traffic. We booked through service Accor a table,,big was our surprise to hear that the restaurant was closed.The room was not ready when we arrived largely after 15h00. At breakfast we wherz asked to sign for a 2nd person to have breakfast,allthough it was included in the price,and so on..incredible experience,in a lot of cases you are better received in a Ibis or Mercure! I would really not recommend to no one to stay here.

The best hotel in Frankfurt, great rooms, friendly staff, the restaurant Schönemann is a pleasure for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And all in the middle of Frankfurt. Go there all the time and always regret when I try out another.

Despite a perfect location, a very nice junior suite and well equipped facilities, there was a little spot, which especially in Corona-Times is essential: communication. During check-in nobody told verbally me that the requested upgrade worked-out, I asked for a massage for my husband and me on the next day (together) and received no feedback until I asked again whether or not the massage is possible, when appearing at the Spa counter together with my husband it turned out that we cannot have the massage together due to Corona rules...

Staying regularly at this hotel in business. In room experience gets worse and worse. Whilst staff tries its best, room service quality got bad.

Great location with fantastic service and a quality room. There were only a couple of minor shortcomings relating to the mattress and the toilet in the room. Also, the breakfast buffet was very limited but I have assumed that this was due to Covid.

Being a gold member at Accor All - we didn't receive welcome drink and some gift from the hotel, even after we remind at the front desk that we have it in our status, we got a promise which didn't come true. Also, we found out that the upgraded luxury room was smaller than it is on the website - instead of 45m2 we've got about 40m2. Another unexpected moment happened with us at the room - such as dirty dishes and floor. What was even worse - it was water at the toilet which was running very noisy during the whole night...

ZERO EFFORT for special occassion, terrible food

This is my second stay at this hotel. I absolutely loved the first time. This time was the opposite, a massive disappointment. I arrived from Waldorf Astoria Berlin and expected similar treatment. I let the receptionist know it’s my birthday and asked for a nice room. I also included it in my reservation including a request for an upgrade, high floor, far from elevator. She did not even say happy birthday, no acknowledgement at all. I got a connecting room , straight next to the elevator, zero upgrade. Even though the hotel was almost empty due to Covid and the holiday season. I went downstairs back to reception and I got my room changed after another 15 mins explanation. I finally checked in. Waldorf Astoria treated me the previous night to a prosecco and chocolates for my birthday weekend. Sofitel zero recognition. Not even a card with wishes. In addition I order room service, schnitzel was the worse I have tasted, over sweet cream brûlée. I decided to check out the following day, even though I was planning to stay 2 more nights. The reception manager did not even ask the standard “how was your stay?”. Instead I insisted to say, the room service was terrible yesterday . His reaction: did you tell the restaurant - I said no, it was my birthday I was hoping to inform you, his reaction - “I will let them know”. No refund for room service, no interest if I enjoyed my birthday. I have never been treated by any 5* hotels in my life. I am a Platinum Bonvoy member and a Gold Hilton and any of these hotels would take care effort to make my birthday weekend special and surely would remove room service off my bill if I told them the food was not up to Accor standard.

Most devastating stay I ever had in a five star hotel..

I can just warn anyone: Don’t book yourself in this narcissistic environment.. Accor group is well known for its narcissistic, french attitude.They let it out on their own guests! I checked in as a single, female guest. The perfect victim to play me and they did, in all kind of ways. The entire stay, they tried to drive me nuts, tried to give me a hard time.They made me wait for everything. I had to wait an whole hour to get a ridiculous bottle of water to my room after I already had an intense work out at the gym and while the room temp was 35 degrees inside! No AC! I barely couldn’t breathe.. I was totally dehydrated but they really didn’t care..Instead they made everything even more worse.. It started with the super old hairdryer. It didn’t even include a cooling mode to dry my bleached hair. The temp was so hot, it even broke some of my my hair! I was shocked. I called the front desk and complained about it. The whole drama began.They didn’t show any empathy and just put me on a never ending stand by mode just for having a normal working hair dryer. After three hours, they told me someone is on the way to a drugstore to buy a new one after I sarcastically told them it’s possible to buy modern hairdryers with cool modes for only 9.99 €.. You can’t imagine what happened after those 20 min. The GM called me and told me that he’s actually not planning to get any new hairdryer. Excuse me.?..Instead he will ask a hairsalon near by to borrow one.. (!) and in an even blaming tone he told me, normally, if a guest has those kind of special requests they are happy to provide it but of course will charge for it..! Wait a mom.. So, I got told that someone is already organizing another hairdryer. After 20 mins it turned out that they actually lied to me, and even if my hair got damaged from their own middle aged hairdryer, Im now the one who gets blamed?? But sure, why apologizing, right? Play it as Trump and instead make her even pay for it ;) It was traumatizing how poorly they treated me..To have to wait hours in a sauna (my paid room) not knowing how long this will go on..That frustrating argument w the GM..and tha, he switched again and decided that he will now send someone to buy a new one. What a sick power game..? Another 20 min of waiting.. And guess what..The new hairdryer came surprisingly without a cooling mode.. Btw. After all those crazy making bs, they decided to kick me out w the police, simply because they couldn’t handle my justified criticism..

Friendly staff and always available for your help at any time, giving you all the recommendation needed. luxurious hotel in a quite area and in the middle of the city with an electric car parking spot. just sleep in the bed and let me know if you want to go working on the next day or prefer laying down. simply French touch in a luxurious way

First of all I would like to thank the team in Sofitel for their support to me & the family. My daughter had very high fever and was sick during our entire stay in Frankfurt, what a time to spend our holidays! The hotel was supportive to us. We would love to recommend to anyone that are travelling there to choose this hotel. Location was great too but only unfortunate for us that we did not see the best of it as the whether was not great, where I have a sick child and a father in-law that has walking problems which the hotel supported us with a wheel chair available at all times for him. Very considerate and appreciated. Thank you.
