My room was situated above the main entrance, with people talking outside late into the night. Both mine and neighbouring rooms had extremely squeaky door hinges on bathroom doors. Sounds improbable but this was very disturbing!

When we arrived at the room we were given, we unlocked the door and opened it, and it was already occupied! Luggage was there and open with clothes and personal effects strewn about. We quickly took a picture and left. When we went down to the front desk the young man, IN JEANS (!!), didn't believe us! Thankfully we had the sense to take that picture! That was disrespectful. The front desk staff were extremely young and unprofessional/casual, and dressed like they were going out to a bar to party. Further, the hotel room was extremely basic, no amenities, bathroom was tiny - we felt that it was more like their "budget" line would be. We won't stay there again, nor recommend it.

Turns out many rooms were double-booked, and as guests, including us were in our rooms, key cards were reissued to arriving guests for the same room. A number of guests were surprised to find the door open by other patrons of the hotel who were given the same room and key cards to a room already occupied. This caused an uneasiness and a lack of trust of personal safety that made our stay dissatisfying.

Hotel is easy to find and conveniently located. Room was small but adequately appointed and quiet overnight. Check-in experience was terrible. When I arrived at about 11.30pm the queue was out of the front door of the hotel. It took 20 minutes to get to the check-in desk. Staff displayed no sense of urgency to help customers more quickly and no apology was offered. All this and I had followed the request to check-in online which supposedly is meant to save time. Very disappointing.
