Paid £650 for a night. Would never usually pay this for a hotel but splashed out as a special occasion. Not worth it. Room was sterile box with zero character, small, uncomfortable bed and no walk in shower. Curtains oddly positioned which made it awkward to get out onto balcony. Difficult to park and hotel had strange sprawling layout. Reception etc not well sign posted. Noisy and very busy corridors and lots of noise could be heard in the room from neighbouring rooms and corridor. Dogs everywhere. Quite a distance to the town centre. Breakfast was disappointing with lots of food ran out and not replaced. Difficult to find bowls and plates, really felt like a shambolic feeding time at the zoo. Messy counters with fruit, yogurt and cereals all just lumped into big sharing bowls and spillages all over counters, pretty revolting. We were a party of 3 but only provided with 2 ‘environmental friendly’ bottles for water which was odd, felt like a cost cutting exercise and very inconvenient, would be much better to just have a simple thing such as water in the room, especially during a heatwave. Staff were meh. Would never return to this hotel. Beachfront location and AC are the only reasons for 3 stars.
