Fomzine Families - TripAdvisor review

Room was clean and comfortable but for the price paid, not the level of luxury I was expecting. Car park is a nightmare. Small, cramped, and with a space lost to what looks like old furniture piled up by the hotel. The lack of space to maneuver is frankly dangerous. Usually in car parks this cramped hotels provide valet parking, eg Old Ship in Brighton. Sofa bed was not set up when we arrived, even though we had booked it as a twin. Separate toilet in a room covered with stucco (painted pebbledash). Felt like a jail cell toilet. Would be much more welcoming to tile the toilet room. Breakfast very expensive at £14 to £18 per head. Very poor value for money. Swimming pool nice but small. Male changing room far too small. Can accommodate no more than 2 people at a time. Toilet in there was broken - flush jammed on permanently.

Lovely staff, great location, slightly dated decor but clean. The only let down was breakfast as the eggs were hard and all food was only Luke warm which is dangerous.

Hotel in heart of the city. Parking is below hotel. You have to drive right up to the shutter for it to lift up. Reception and staff helpful. The bar is nice. The rooms are ok. Separate toilet. The shower room looks dated. Bed and space was good. My only real gripe was the price. It was a graduation day so most of the hotels were fully booked. I ended up in an executive room which was nice but expensive. Would stay again but only if I could a room for a reasonable price.
