Great location for the station / city centre and Hallam Uni. Stayed one night for work at the university. The bar area is modern as is the entrance area, unfortunately I felt the room itself was a bit tired / dated. (Maybe it was the anaglypta wall paper?!) The room was very clean, so no complaint really but just something a bit dated about it compared to downstairs. My sink did have a smell, but that seemed because part of the fixing for the plug was missing. I found the shower cubicle quite small - fine for me, but for a larger built person it might have been a bit tight. And I didn’t like the toilet being separate. Had a meal in the bar, standard was good as expected and staff were friendly. Breakfast was usual hotel selection of hot and cold - good choice. Overall a fine hotel stay, but I didn’t think quite up to standard of another Novotel I’ve used before.

I am a blind guest who stayed at the hotel, and found the customer service to be excellent. Particular thanks to Courtney who helped me to familiarise myself with the layout and for being personable. Thanks also to Charlie and Aaliyah for their help at the restaurant, and to the many staff who assisted me at breakfast.

The location is good. The size of the room is also fine. Breakfast is ok. However, staff are not very welcoming. It would be better if they could have smiled more and be more friendly and helpful to hotel guests... The water is too hot in the toilet basin at the lobby floor. When washing hands there, it hurts my hands.

Service was lovely, staff welcoming. However pool is by the front of the hotel and the car park with no frosted windows so can see straight in a little off putting. What we found most disappointing was the room dated walls and doors felt like the 80’s, sofa bed was terrible like a piece of paper and the hairdryer stopped working after 5 minutes. Wouldn’t return until rooms are updated
