Sadly a disappointment

This was unfortunately the worst accor experience so far (and we love the accor hotels normaly). The room temperature was super cold, we had to put a tracksuit over the pyjamas. We put the heat on, but it took hours till the room temperature came back to normal. The room was not the cleanest and the hair conditioner was fallen down from the wall and put on top of the WC by the hotelstuff. The parking fees were not visible upon booking, we faced them upon checking in. The receptionist took away the parking card saying that the gate will open automatically. But the next morning the gates did not open, the button to call the reception was not working either. I had to run back to the reception (while other vihicles waiting behind me) to ask the receptionist about it. He wante to have the parking ticket, which his collegue took the day before and kept telling me to push the reception button at the gate, because he can see us. It turned out he wasn't able to open the gate from the reception desk, so after 10 more minutes he came out to open it manually. My experience was that the hotel seemed to be generally understaffed. There was only 1 stuffmember at the breakfast and people started to go in - dispite the sign that asked to wait at the sign - as noone was coming for 5-10 minutes.

Non existent staff especially in restaurants.

The breakfast staff were mostly awesome. The last day they overcharged us for breakfast. I tried to point this out to the reception staff but they , along with other issues, but they weren't trained properly. They couldn't take a deposit on a debit/credit card - Most other hotels had no issues. Despite paying at the end of the stay they refused to add food to the room Other than that the rooms were good

Not Mercure Standard

That hotel is very far from Mercure standard. Most of the guests are permanent residents, waiting for European visa. The elevator is very old and far from hotel reception. The smoking area is very dirty. Nothing in available around the hotel by walk. Rooms are very noisy I asked for a receipt , it was not sent. It was necessary to send an email to finally get it after few hours Not sure I will com back again.

I stayed 4 days at Mercure . To 8-10 min walking is a bus station to go in Amsterdam center. Good breakfast . Good restaurant for dinner

Very tired Hotel

Tech hotel feels and looks very tired. The hallway on the first floor looked more like a factory walk way than a hotel. Dirt was everywhere. The rooms where old and run down, dirt was present everywhere and I was in a privileged room as they call it, the bathroom fan didnt work, and it felt dirty too. The floors and fit and finish where very poor. The breakfast was shocking, cold food that was meant to be hot, the sausages quality was horrendous. The coffee machine was the only thing that seemed half decent. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.
