After checking out on Saturday, 18 July, I realised that I had accidentally left my personal weighing scale in the room. I had brought this scale with me so that I could monitor my weight every day during my stay. I contacted the hotel the following day to report the item and explained that I would be able to return to the hotel on Sunday to collect it. During my first call, I was told that someone would call me back within 30 minutes with an update. Unfortunately, nobody contacted me. I therefore called the hotel again. On this occasion, I was simply told that the weighing scale had not been found. I find this response completely unacceptable. The hotel should have a clear record of which member of the housekeeping team entered and cleaned my room immediately after my departure. The scale did not simply disappear. It was left inside the room, and the hotel should therefore conduct a proper internal investigation rather than merely stating that the item has not been found. I would like you to confirm: Which member or members of staff cleaned or entered my room after check-out. Whether the housekeeping supervisor and lost-property records have been formally checked. What investigation will now be carried out. What action or compensation will be offered if my property cannot be recovered. Whether the hotel has reviewed the relevant access records and spoken directly to the staff involved. I have used Adagio and Accor services frequently this summer, and I expect to continue using the group in the future. This makes the way this incident has been handled particularly disappointing. The facilities at this hotel were excellent, but the customer service following my departure has been extremely poor.

Lovely big apartment with everything you need. Could be doing with some upgrades; headboard on the bed had some imperfections and so did the bottom of the bed. My couch had a huge stain that either needs cleaned or replaced. Microwave wasn’t cleaned properly and also a large bag of rubbish was in the cupboard with the ironing board which makes me think the cleaners didn’t service the room properly. Extra pillows in the rooms or better pillows as the ones on my bed were quite flat (personal preference ofcourse). The apartment itself is large, perfect for visiting Amsterdam and a short walk from the trams to anywhere you need. Liked that the toilet is separate to the shower room and the rainfall shower with separate handheld shower is great. Also good there is an iron and ironing board plus hairdryer which isn’t a “hold the button in” situation like most hotels. Couldn’t fault the staff. They were welcoming and interested in your stay.
