Feel good on the move at Mercure. Mercure Hotel Schiphol Terminal is a unique 3-star hotel inside Schiphol Airport, located airside (after security), in the transit area of lounge 3 (upper level) at the beginning of the F gates. To stay at the hotel, you need a valid passport and flight ticket for the same or next day. Both day and night rooms are available. Please note: you can only bring hand luggage to the hotel. Transit passengers should not go to the exit/arrival hall, but remain in the Terminal.

The hotel is located behind customs and security, in the transit area. For arriving passengers, please follow your way to Lounge 3, at the beginning of the F gates. Do NOT go to the exit/arrival hall. You will find the hotel on the upper level. Departing passengers should follow their way (after checking in their luggage) from the departure hall to security and immigration, and continue to the beginning of the F gates in airport Lounge 3 PLEASE NOTE: you can only bring hand luggage to the hotel!

You certainly won't get bored at Schiphol. There are plenty of places to shop, buy a meal or have a drink. You can also go for a massage, visit the spa or look around the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam Schiphol.

Once I found the hotel, it was great. You desperately need more signage in the airport - the hotel only had a sign once right at the location. It needs to be at the end of each set of gates. My flight from Sevilla was supposed to land at 11:30 pm but ran about an hour late and when I arrived the airport was shut down and all hallways to the F gates or Lounge 3 were closed off. Found one person finally who said to "go through that doorway and keep going", but the doorway was completely locked when I got there. Took a total of 45 minutes walking around at 1:00 am to find an employee who could escort me there through back routes. Since many flights run late, there is a great need for a clear path to the hotel for all of the late night flights arriving after everything in AMS is closed. It was a nightmare. Please give better instructions for finding you - we don't know what "Lounge 3" is, and there were no signs to it and the name is confusing with Airline lounges, for which there are many signs. And please, please, let people know how to find you once all shops, security, etc. are closed after hours! I was in tears!

We tried to check in 45 minutes early and were told it would be possible but would cost us an additional €36. Disgraceful customer service. We had to ask for an additional pillow as there were only 3 provided and there were not TV controls in the room so we were inconvenienced yet again. The bedroom also only had one bedside table which was totally inconvenient as had nowhere to put our drinks and telehones. I think in this instance we are entitled to some monetary compensation as we really had an abysmal experience and not acceptable when travelling and the price of the room for 1 night is extortionate.

Well located, comfortable. Could not charge any of my devices (laptop, phone) due to no USB charging ports in the room. Could not use/access the electricity ports in the room.
