Overall it was a good experience with easy access to and from the airport with the free shuttle bus which is very consistent. The only issue I had is the use of the microwave which is located on the ground floor and having to constantly come all the way from the 3rd floor to warm a cold food.

I've stayed in this hotel once or twice yearly for many years and was always satisfied about both the rooms and the service. Not this time, though. The room was, well, just tatty, old and run-down, 'though the beds were okay. The bathroom had black moulding around the shower, the sink was old and, sitting on the loo, and looking underneath the sink, it really showed its age. The tv was tiny and everything else in the room felt like it is past its expiry date. I don't know why, but the room also felt more cramped than I'm used to. And then there was the Burger Bar. It used to be a simple americana burger restaurant which felt cosy enough to have a quick snack. This time, the service was close to rude, the (hip-hop-ish) music way too loud and the (chicken)burger was inedible. Even the Ibis logo on the outside of the building has faded from red to near white. All in all it felt more like an Ibis Budget than a regular Ibis hotel. What's going on here? I used to think the Schiphol Ibis was really good value for money. But this time I wished I stayed in another hotel - there are enough of them around the airport. Come on guys, do something about it; you'll be losing customers if you continue like this. A shame, really.

Once our guests entered their room, they were literally shocked. There were huge stains on the bed, sofa etc. As if it's an abandoned motel somewhere in a remote area! They immediately left and we booked another hotel for them. Such a disgrace!

Rooms and cleanliness and reception stuff is very good. But food quality and variety of choice in restaurant and buffet is not good, overpriced.
