Easy to find. Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Comfortable room and beds. Clean. Breakfast had a variety of items, however the eggs which I can eat were gone already when we went for breakfast. Unfortunately I can't eat gluten so the wonderful array of fresh bread and pastries weren't options for me. The bacon wasn't cooked.

There was no problem accessing the Accor Guest network from my phone, but on my computer the SSID failed to appear in the network list. I mentioned this to reception but I did not press the complaint because I thought that it was deliberate. I suspect that they locking out Windows 8.1 and earlier, thereby cooperating with Microsoft's dirty tricks to bully people into buying new computers. I was able to achieve some of my tasks with my phone, but a phone is not exactly suitable for banking transactions. There is too much risk of mis-miskeying on the small keyboard. If I am faced with this problem again, I believe I now know how to defeat it. The hotel restaurant is unusually expensive. This is partly due to the hotel not offering wine by 25cl or 50cl caraffes. You have to order by the glass or by the bottle. Ordering by the glass is invariably more expensive and you have the problem that the waiter may be unavailable when you want a refil. I have noticed that restaurant prices in Rouen have shot up since my last visit and local restaurants were not much cheaper. I only had the breakfast on one morning. Accor breakfasts are usually very good and this hotel was no exception. For some reason I was not charged. My bill said "Petite Dejeuner €0.00". The car park is charged by the hour. I think the rate was €0.80 per hour. They also waived the parking charge. This might have been because my arrival at the hotel was seriously delayed and I had to pay for the previous night even though I arrived in the large hours of the morning. If you go out for a meal at night and you walk out via the rear exit, getting back in might be tricky. The rear exit is not illuminated at night and can be tricky to find. I don't even know if it is unlocked. I made my way to the front entrance but that is a surprisingly tedious long walk. The guest rooms are clean, tidy and well maintained.

Stopped at the Mecure Rouen on the way back to Calais, as it was en-route, dog friendly and had car parking. Arrived early evening, quite easy to find, despite a lot of local road works. Good underground car park. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Room was excellent, on 5th floor, only two flights of stairs up from reception, easy to get the dogs in and out. Decided to eat in the hotel that evening. Food was excellent and service really good. Great staff. Only quibble was lack of gluten free options for partner. Room was excellent, large, great bed and lovely bathroom and shower. Buffet breakfast was superb, fresh and great variety. Partner is gluten free and gluten free bread was provided. All in all a great stay, excellent hotel and great value..
