After a very long flight I was told by one person that I can not have an early check in. I asked if she can check she said she knows that it is not possible. Another clerk 5 min later gave both me and my colleague an early check in. My room had a heater that didn’t work. I was told that they will give me another blanket and fix it the next day. When I asked for another room I was told yes but I will have to move immediately which I could not as I had an appointment. It would be too much for them to let me move rooms after I come back from my appointment. When doing late checkout the clerk immediately charged me with the late check out fee without even checking if I was already charged. My taxi was waiting and she would not believe that I had been charged twice. The fiasco cost me extra 20 min which then I had to pay the taxi for waiting.

Room AC was not cool and i reported to reception. 2nd night was not as warm but still not cool. Breakfast area is poorly laid out and selection was not what I had expected. Staff were pleasant and professional.

This is my 3rd visit to Mercure hotel. Always loved how great the staff is. Super easy to checkin. Well maintained rooms and very close to my work location. However, was bit disappointed this time with the checkin process. Not because it was problematic but lost the human touch and had to do it via machine. But the front desk lady was super nice and assisted with checkin. Also, there was a front desk lady “Caroline”. Sad to know that she was not working there anymore. She was very accommodating and very helpful and greeted everyone with a big smile.
