Stay was lovely except I had no kettle and when I rang Reception and Concierge there was no answer. Eventually I got onto housekeeping who brought me a kettle. There was also something wrong with our bathroom door. It would constantly lock and we couldn’t open it when needed. In the end we just kept it open at all times so we didn’t risk being locked in or out of the bathroom. Other than that it was a lovely stay, room was spacious and located in a good spot on darling harbour.

We stayed 5 nights. One thing I was frustrated with refilling of things like toilet tissue/paper, shower gel/body lotion. Room attendants came to clean the bed, vacuum, etc., but I don't think they even checked whether we had enough things like toilet paper. One night I had to ask for toilet paper. Shower gel was never refilled. I do think it's a process issue. You need to have a process where the room attendant should look at a list of things when they go into any room. Breakfast buffet quality could be improved; it has the variety, but we did not find it tasty (juices, some of the pastry items, seemed frozen. The hotel can look into its supplier. I do believe the quality could be improved without making it pricier, which will attract recurrent clients.

I booked 2 Luxury family rooms. But I was arranged to 2 seperate level. That means I will be away from children. I asked to change, but they only can give me 1x luxury room, 1x small room. I was upset, because they charged me the same amount money for 2 rooms. I was told if I want the 2 rooms close, that’s my only option. That’s really very bad experience and unfairness.

Disappointing start with confusion over bookings . Bar staff and Breakfast brought it back. Room was as expected. Drop bear zombie was awesome

We had a wonderful stay. The only feedback I have is that the sheer curtains made it difficult to sleep past sunrise as the room became very bright. I would recommend a different type of curtain for a more comfortable sleep.

We had requested a room with a walk in shower as my wife has a disability. We were given a room with a shower over a bath which was not safe.
The bed that's was advertised as superior standard was as soft as marshmallows and was not made properly . this caused us to leave with pains that we did not have beforehand
The lighting in the room was inadequate. so much so we kept thinking the lights were off
The housekeeping was poor with the bed made roughly and there was not sufficient bed blankets for the weather . Most hotels store at least one spare blanket
It was our 37th anniversary and I foolishly thought this would be a great place to stay

I would like to commend Karen who was on the check in desk on Monday the 28th and Tuesday the 29th of September. I had a very bad day with my company credit card be accidently blocked earlier in the day, so I could not pay the account at check in. Karen said leave it to me and made it possible for me to access the room for the night with payment the next morning when the block was removed. In the morning the block was still on my card so I paid with a personal account to ensure my stay for the remaining 2 nights. Later that day the block was removed, and to allow me to process it as a business expense, Karen refunded my personal card and reprocessed the stay on my business card. Karen did this all with a smile and a level of positive energy that took my day for lousy to great. Her customer service was amazing and with a check in process such as that, I will continue to stay at the Novotel Darling Habour as I have in the past.

Overall, considering it was only a one-night stay, our experience was very pleasant. The staff were lovely, friendly and very accommodating. The hotel had great access to public transport, which made getting around very easy, and we were also pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade upon checking in.
