The room was comfortable and hotel bar pleasant but the staff on reception were not very helpful and ignored requests, because they felt it wasn’t their job

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and bedside. Great breakfast too! Hotel is in a lovely area that is good to walk around and explore. Shops are close by and the metro station is not far.

Hi, I have been having trouble getting ahold of someone at the hotel. My name is Melissa J.. I was a guest until the morning of 28Mar2026 in Room 508. I tried to pick up my frozen packages while checking out and the gentleman at the desk could only find one of my two packages. I dropped off a vacuum sealed pack of four butters on Sunday evening. I filled out the supplied form and the man was unable to locate it. He located the package I had held Thursday night but not the Sunday package. The lost package is 36.80€ in value. He offered nothing but for me to email the hotel. Additionally, I tried to report damage to my clothing from the cleaning agents that were used in my room yesterday. Bleach must have been used in the room and not wiped off and it removed the color of a new sweater ($32USD). There was a very distinct smell of bleach (cleaning agents). Photo of the damaged sweater and purchase price of the items are able to be provided as evidence. Receipt for the frozen butter packs ca also be provided. The lights in part of my room were also non-operational for the last day. The light in the main hall stopped working on Thursday and Thursday evening the light in the bathroom would not work. The front desk gentleman came up and gave me a light from one of the dining tables which helped. I was also unaware there was a 50 Euro charge for early check in. I have arrived slightly early previously and never had a charge. I arrived at 1:10pm Saturday and was made aware of the charge. The man said the room was ready but if I wanted access 50 minutes early, I would have to pay. I have stayed previously and checked in early and there was no charge. I waited the time. At 2:01pm the man approached and said I could check in. I have stayed several times at this Novotel but this trip had several issues. No other trip had any issues with the room or experience. If someone could please contact me here or by the contact information on my account, I would greatly appreciate it. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
