Had a great time at the Mercure, special thanks to Priscilla the front desk who was incredibly helpful and professional even though she claims her English was not great (I thought her English was better than mine). She was always there to answer all my questions and provide suggestions on where to go and what to do. She always had a smile and was very engaging.

Unfortunatly the invoice was wrong (Going to Amadeus in Eritrea not in Germany). Additionally, there was an overbooking of my credit card of over 500EUR generating even more complications.

I booked a Junior Suite expecting a four-star experience, but the room had a soaking wet carpet outside the bathroom and dead bugs in the toilet. After reporting this, I was moved—not to another suite, but to a standard ground-floor room with no explanation or compensation, despite paying for a suite. Unfortunately, the problems continued. The shower gel dispensers in the new room were either empty or broken, requiring another trip to reception. Later that day, my room key stopped working. After three trips to reception and eventually being let into my room by a staff member, I was promised a replacement key that never arrived. I was effectively left without a working room key for the rest of the evening. While the staff were polite, the service was poorly managed and there was little effort to resolve the issues properly. For a hotel marketed as four stars, the cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service were far below expectations. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this hotel.

Comfortable, friendly staff and good breakfast. However, one down side was the overly bright aircon / temperature display which lit up the room when dark. It made it difficult to sleep. The aircon also struggled to keep the room cool.

This is barely a 2 star hotel. Amenities are basic Staff are slow and unfriendly Checked in on Sunday evening after along flight, AC was not working in the room had to wait and for 2 hrs for technician to come in and fix try problem, whilst hotel would not give me another room. Sat at the bar on Sunday and was dirty with used bottles, glasses and buckets and only cleared by the staff after a very long time of me sitting there. When I asked for staff to pick up my laundry form the room they refused and asked to bring to reception. When brought to reception they refused to take until I filled the form of list of items, I was late and had to return the laundry to my room. When returned in the evening with the laundry and filled form, they said they needed 2 days to finish it and said had no express service. So end d up not doing my laundry. For the state of hotel and how worn down it is, staff should compensate with service and hospitality but was the complete opposite. I will never stay there again neither recommend anyone to stay there.
