Check in front desk reception was unfriendly. You can find out who checked us in. Shower screen can do better instead of showering at the corner of the shower area and still getting the outer floors wet.

Staff were friendly on arrival and continued to be so. Room was clean and good facilities, bonus free minibar, which was a nice touch. Excellent location for sights and train station (as any major station, the area attracts beggars) but not a problem.

A perfect location for those who are comfortable walking to the inexpensive airport shuttle bus, to the train staton or to see the sites or to shop. The hotel is older with modern decor that is very warm and welcoming. Our room was clean, spacious and the view we requested was there - of the courtyard. The noise level was low when we were there. We had a free mini bar with a nice selection of beverages. We think the value was reasonable considering the value of the Canadian dollar to currency like the Euro. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We also appreciated the eco-friendly amenities and offerings.

Really enjoyed the stay at the hotel, fantastic staff who were very helpful right through to the staff that cleaned he rooms. Close to all the markets and to U and S Barnsley. The only 2 things that were a little disappointing: 1. Lifts were very slow and only having 2 for that size of an hotel proved to be a little annoying. 2. Breakfast, the continental breakfast was fantastic, but the hot breakfast was never hot, having cold fried eggs, bacon and beans wasn't good.
