Ideal location close to Gare du Nord, the Metro, and some lovely cafés. Reception was friendly and helpful. Rooms could use some updating- lots of scuffs on the walls, air con did not work, etc.

For a basic room it should be cleaner, I had to move rooms because of mould in the showers and the walls were orange with dirt because they're not getting cleaned properly, my next room was similar still orange walls but less mould fortunately

Location is very handy for Gare du Nord. Staff are lovely and the bed was comfortable. The room however was in need of renovation, bathroom especially was very tired looking. Reasonable value but with a bit of investment could be a very nice hotel.

We were interested in visiting parts of Paris on foot, so La Fayette was a good access point for us. Breakfasts were good and the staff were very helpful. The hotel was comfortable- not over large and not noisy.

I was disappointed at having to pay an extra €49 on taxes when my original reservation had confirmed that all taxes were paid. The light above the desk in the room 103 was snot working and the shower riser unit was not letting me adjust the height of the shower head, in fact it was held together with a piece of silicon mastic which soon came away when we tried to readjust it. I had to put a piece of Elastoplast tape around the riser to keep the shower head in place. These problems were reported to the receptionist but I was told that no technician was available at the weekend to fix the problems. On the television there were no English speaking channels.

Basic hotel room which is clean and comfortable. Located 5 mins from Gare du Nord. Breakfast was good but can get quite busy. Main issue was staff effectiveness, there was several power cuts and staff were not proactive at all amd generally reluctant to take any accountability for issues. Similarly at breakfast staff were slow to refill cutlery and crockery or when food finished.

The staff were all very lovely and accommodating. The location was great, access to the centre of Paris is very easy (we recommend getting the 7 metro rather than the 4!). Also a very comfortable stay, the room was very nice and clean. I will say, as much it isn't the hotels fault- a warning to females travelling alone, we experienced some bother in the surrounding areas !
