Firstly the staff were very polite and accommodating from airport transfer to reception. However hotel fell short of expected 3 star. Our room was prepared as a double although 2 singles were booked. Staff remedied this within 10 minutes by changing the linens but this left very little space to access the bed from one side so we had to push them together again. Reservation made several months ago but we were placed in a room at the end of the corridor next to where renovations were taking place . Brown paper on corridor floors, renovating rooms open, builders materials in hallway including long cables. Builders in situ working on open rooms with paint smells etc. Our room was small, not much space to move around, very tired shabby decoration. Bed linens were clean but extra pillows not available. Beds too soft, gave no support and I awoke with back pains. No bottled water available, nor a water dispenser in the hotel, purchase of water bottles was required!! No tea or coffee, no safe but this was not stated but expected in 3 star. Not much room between the toilet and the facing wall, equally bypassing the TV was difficult, I walked into it twice. Towels were worn. Restaurant Courtpaille in the evening provided very good food at reasonable price. Breakfast also offered options. Overall very disappointed in the accommodation, no warning of the renovations, unhappy to pay this amount of money for what we received, will not return or recommend. Very different to our earlier stay at the Mercure for not to much difference in cost.

However, we are truly sorry to learn that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Please accept our sincere apologies for the initial bedding configuration not matching your reservation. Although our team acted quickly to correct the mistake, we fully understand that the reduced space may have made your room less comfortable. Regarding the renovation work in the corridor, you should indeed have been informed prior to your arrival. We regret this lack of communication and will ensure that our future guests are notified in similar situations. You also mentioned the size and layout of the room. Our standard rooms comply with the official French 3-star classification requirements; however, we understand that the room size may differ from what you are used to in other countries or brands within the group. We are truly sorry that this impacted your comfort. Please note that we do offer Comfort Rooms, which are larger and include a courtesy tray. For a future stay, we would be more than happy to allocate one of these rooms for you—simply let us know at reception, and we will do our best to ensure a more spacious and comfortable experience. We also take note of your comments regarding the bedding, towels, and equipment. Your feedback has been shared with our management team so we can work on improving these aspects as quickly as possible. We are sorry that your stay did not reflect the standards we strive to deliver. Room was so small and lacked basic amenities (e.g. facial tissue.) HVAC didn't work. Terrible water pressure. Some staff were great but still had issues. Definitely would not stay here again
