The initial room assigned to me was located 3 meters in front of the lifts... I requested another location and the personel was kind to propose me an upgrade (that I did not get, btw! but the new standard room that I've been given was OK). Look & feel, decoration of the room is great! I USB plugs are very convenient. BRONX-branded armchair is great choice!

The hotel was wonderful, I had an amazing stay here absolutely. My room was beautiful and so spacious, the breakfast had a wide range of selections, everything was very tasty. The hotel has a very good location, it is very easy to reach the city centre with the underground and train.

Reading the reviews online before my trip had me worried as it seemed that the room was too cold (during the cold season) and hot as there is no air-conditioning, cleanliness (with the bathroom and towels also seemed to be an issue). But my fears were unfounded as the room was nicely set up and the temperature was good. Although it was cold outside, the room could be adjusted to a temperature I was comfortable with. The only thing to note was that it could get a bit stuffy in the room, but I was not in there all the time so it was alright. Upon entering the room, I was greeted with a clean room comfortable room with a bed with 2 separate duvets. Usually the duvet would be a single piece, so it was interesting. The room was sub-divided into an entry area where the bathroom is and the sleeping area. There was ample of space to hang clothes for about 3 days (including your coat), and a luggage space for 1 medium luggage (2 medium luggage would be possible but some maneuvering would need to be done). The bed was a little too soft for my liking but quality of sleep was not compromised. In addition to the soft bed, the pillows were way too soft and did not provide any support at all. This was easily solved as there are 4 pillows, and when piled on each other you would be able to get what you need (more or less). Housekeeping was good and satisfactory. The room was clean (enough) and the toilet was in good condition with toiletries provided. So if you forgot your lotion, shampoo, or shower gel etc… you are covered. That said, there was no toothbrush and toothpaste, and no bedroom slippers (which are the norm for almost all the hotels I have been to so far). As the hotel is all about sustainability, the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all pre-filled into bottles and adhered to the walls. I was over-prepared this time and packed my lotions, creams, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel so I never needed to use the hotel's provided toiletries. Water pressure for the shower was good and it was easy to set the heating to the preferred temperature you want. Towels provided were clean but a little on the thin side but there was plenty for a single guest. The room had a view of the inner courtyard and was nice and quiet, perfect for a good quiet night's sleep. Despite the recent refurbishment, the hotel still kept the popcorn walls and ceiling which might not help if you have trypophobia - an aversion to the sight of irregular patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps. Wifi provided by the hotel was relatively consistent throughout the property but each time I returned to the hotel, I had to log in again to the unsecure network which was not password protected. You might wish to invest in a VPN to ensure that your access is secure if this is of concern to you. As my booking did not come with breakfast, I had to top-up an extra €25. For the one day I've had breakfast during my short 4 day stay it was satisfactory but a bit pricy (as with all hotel breakfasts). Food and drinks were replenished at regular intervals with your usual eggs, sausages, breads, hams, cheeses, cereal and salad spread, along with juices, coffee, tea and water. Being near to the subway / train station makes it really easy to get around. It is about a 5-10 minute walk, depending on your pace. 💗Loved - The cleanliness, and quietness. - Hotel staff were helpful and amicable, you just have to ask. - The price point. - Heating worked. - Quiet room (rooms not facing the main road). 💔Not so much - A bit stuffy (unless you opened the windows). - The lighting is a little dim, more lights or brighter lighting would have enhanced the experience: the bathroom lights were nice and bright while the bedroom area was cosy, it was too dim. - No bedroom slippers provided. Service was also much better than expected. Kudos to the ladies during the morning shift at reception and Sebastian. They were amicable, polite and really helpful.
