Our stay started well enough with a smooth check in and very pleasant and professional reception staff. Upon arriving in our room it was immediately clear that the air conditioning in the room was not working. This was exacerbated by the fact that it was also one of the hottest days of the year so far. In addition, I had requested the sofa bed be made up for our arrival (ahead of arriving) and it was not ready. I attended reception to enquire about both issues above and was advised that housekeeping will be contacted to complete the sofa bed set up right away as well as maintenance being requested to check on the air conditioning. A short while later housekeeping arrived and made up the sofa beds. A little time after the maintenance person arrived with a large desk fan in hand, no attempt ade to look at air conditioning instead fan plugged in and put on. We gave this a little while to see whether any difference was made but sadly it simply recirculated the hot air. Attempted to call guest services from in room phone but no answer so attended reception again. We were moved rooms to a lower floor and the room was ready but the air conditioning hadn't been put on so room was also rather warm. This time though after applying air conditioning seemed to help with ambient room temperature. We readied ourselves to venture out for our planned activity for the evening. On arriving back at the hotel around 11pm we found our room door was ajar and feared we had been burgled. Nothing in fact had been taken and now the room door appeared to not be able to shut securely at all. We once again attended reception and the night team came up to check, could not close the door and offered a room change yet again. They offered to review cctv for the hallway and see what might have happened and "if" we wanted any feedback to ask in reception in the morning. Finally around midnight settled in for the evening in 3rd different room of our stay. Next morning attended reception to enquire about cctv outcome and feedback what an entirely unsatisfying stay we had experienced. Sadly no info was available at reception as we were advised this had been completed by security but information passed to management who were in a meeting at the time of being at reception. We needed to progress on our journey for the day so this was not possible to wait for management availability and instead was given contact details to make follow up enquiries about what had occurred during our stay. A catalogue of problems sadly but breakfast was good, staff were professional and accommodating throughout which is why the overall experience came out as a 3 rather than lower.

Have been staying with Novotel Hammersmith since 2023. Its always a pleasurable stay, love their breakfast selection. One particular downside to my stay this time would be the Aircon - super warm at night. Tried calling housekeeping for a fan, but wasn't successful in connecting. Ideal temperature is key to a restful sleep, especially for a business trip. Conveyed the message to the FO.

Previous experiences were good, this is the third time I have been to this hotel in last 5 years. The rooms now are tired, stained carpets and dysfunctional showers. The breakfast got cut and reduced significantly. Now we have to pay extra for a boiled egg or scrambled egg! And no fish options at all and long queues for breakfast meals as only one serving area. To be honest a premier inn breakfast is better now. I’ll give this hotel 3 stars max, in fact 2 stars is what it deserves. Not coming back unfortunately

The rooms were uncomfortably hot through the heatwave, and the continuous back and forth with the staff until they admitted there was nothing they could do was a waste of time. It took four trips to reception and a room change before they brought us a desk fan and told us that there was no air con so the rooms would perpetually be above 25 degrees celsius, and almost certainly warmer with people staying in them. Later that night there were multiple desk fans in the hotel hallway, so this was likely the case for all rooms. Separately, in the room that I was swapped to, the water temperature stayed scalding - it couldn't be turned cool whatsoever.
