As a Gold member of Accor, I have always trusted the brand for its reliability and consistent service. However, my recent business trip to Abidjan, where I stayed at the Ibis Hotel Plateau, left both me and my colleagues deeply disappointed. From the moment we arrived, the service fell far short of expectations. Despite recommending the hotel to five of my colleagues, who were staying at an Ibis property for the first time, we were all let down by the overall experience. One of the most alarming issues was the malfunctioning elevator. On two separate occasions during my stay, I found myself trapped inside due to a breakdown—each time for about 20-30 minutes. The hotel staff's response was shockingly indifferent. They merely informed me that a technician had been called and I had to wait. No immediate action was taken, and I was only able to get out thanks to the persistence of one of my colleagues who urged the staff to act. What made this situation even worse was that the problem wasn’t properly addressed. The elevator broke down again later that day, and the hotel didn't even bother to put up a warning sign to prevent further incidents. For my colleagues, the experience was equally frustrating. Despite being paying guests, they did not feel welcome or respected by the hotel staff. A simple request for a hair dryer turned into a major inconvenience. None of the rooms were equipped with one, and the entire hotel had only two available for all guests. In the end, my colleagues were forced to purchase a hair dryer from a nearby supermarket. Overall, the level of service and care at Ibis Abidjan Plateau was far below what I’ve come to expect from Accor hotels. This experience has not only tarnished my trust in the Ibis brand but has also made me reconsider recommending Accor properties to others in the future.

Location is good, but they don't offer tea coffee in the room, also my laundry was delayed, room telephone was not working therefore I have to go to reception for any requirements. Breakfast was good. But the staff was cooperative. And room also cleaned.

Everything went well until the time of check out where I realized my taxi had not been booked despite having requested for the same a day before. The associate checking me out wasn't willing to help much. I took the hotel taxi from the airport to the hotel (I informed the attendant who checked me out to charge me this as it wasn't appaearing on my final bill and he refused to charge me, quite strange even after telling him I took the service.) So, he only charged me for the hotel drop off. Should you still want me to pay this amount please let me know. I almost got delayed going back to airport because of the taxi not having been booked by the person who checked me in.
