Good location in business district, but property facilities need improvement

Very good location in Plateau- nearby to most business houses and corporates. But Hotel interior and exterior needs major renovation works. The rooms need fresh coats of paint and toilets need to be refurbished. Front desk always have one person only and he/she is overcrowded. Need 2 people there- at least one dedicated for premium Accor members. At the time of booking, the Accor app showed free airport shuttle but actually no shuttle service was provided- which is inconvenient.

Well located hotel for a business trip but very mediocre service

It’s been quite a while since I last stayed in such a filthy room, especially if we take into account it cost close to €100. I am pretty sure the bed linen hasn’t been changed as the pillow smelled of someone else. Personnel was quite helpful, at the reception desk and security guys. In sum, I had been to Ibis Douala and I had imagined the same kind of standard. I could have thought what I found on the 6th of March.

Staff doing their best to make stay agreable. However: - poor maintenance of infrastructure: lift broke down twice. the first time for 20 mn, the second time (on 22 Feb) for a good hour with six people inside. - even though Ibis is a budget hotel, I was surprised not to have basics like gel, bathroom slippers. Difference in price with other hotels around is minimal, these little things can influence choice...

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff and people around were courteous, they were ready to assist and make your stay memorable. I would stay here again when next I am in Abidjan. However, I would like to suggest that you provide complimentary bottled water in the rooms as I didnt get any throughout my stay. If possible also, a small fridge should be available in rooms. Overall, you are doing great.

2 nights stay in the hotel. Personal at reception, kitchen and the security was super friendly and helped a lot. Food was good, breakfast buffet was outstanding with a lot of variety. Shuttle bus service to and from airport was very convenient and punctual. Area is safe. Room (bed and bathroom) was clean. Overall, our stay was very nice. However, hotel needs a bit renovation, maybe painting and replacing the carpets in the rooms because they are a bit spotted.

It was evident that there is a "cut expense" exercise going on. From ordering a 4 item salad when avocado, chickpeas were not available; at a breakfast, eggs were not available, a tasteless 4 fromage pasta to the point I asked the waiter for some gruyère, one supper I asked for 25cl white wine, I was brought red wine instead as there was no white wine in stock, one day there was only Mutzig beer available, and unbelievable, that hotel can't provide chilled white wine, one evening the waiter felt so bad he went to the store room and put a bottle in an ice bucket, it came luke warm but I didn't complain, he tried, not his fault. I could feel the staff frustration through the all stay, it was my 5th stay and my taximan showed an another hotel that I will consider for the next visit. Internet login and stability poor

I have to say that the only thing was went well is the check-in and checkout. The front desk team is really great but when it comes to the restaurant staff it felt like they were doing you a favor. Service is very slow (had to ask for an omelet three times to 3 different people during breakfast and only came after 35mn after complaining to the manager), without a smile and pretty rude to (was asked to move two tables away because i was in the wrong section (restaurant instead of snack bar) but yet when the next customer came through and ordered the same thing he was not asked to move. Cleanliness: full need of maintenance. The floors from the reception to the restroom or the restaurant are dirty. Whatever food or water gets on that floor will stay there for hours before its cleaned even though the staff is passing it and even stepping in it. Honestly felt i didn't want to touch anything.
