The Novotel Abidjan is a nice business hotel in the Plateau area of Abidjan, and is pleasant to stay at. The breakfast selection is absolutely wonderful, and the stay is comfortable. Points for improvement include better Wi-Fi in the rooms (the lobby area is stellar) and better service from the bar/restaurant staff, who seem to be forgetful and unknowledgeable of their product offering. It should be noted that the bar/restaurant managers are very professional, though. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, good. Many positives including ambience, Internet, gym and pool. Food ( buffet) prices are on the high side though. Also, my enquiry about airport pick up went unanswered, despite two emails.

WIFI is very limited - big constraint to stay here for work Breakfast are often short with tea (more than 10 days to refurbish green tea bags) Booking responsiveness poor and not reliable

From one bad surprise to another... :-(

Arrived at desk, panel informing me that the pool was not accessible from 4pm to 9pm due to a reception drink organized near the pool. When you are there for one night only and pay 200€ plus for the night, you except at least to have access to the services you pay for. No compensation was offered (I would have expected a discount on the night or a free breakfast). Once in front of my room, the key did not work and I needed to go back down to the reception desk with my luggage to find a solution. Once in another room and wanting to take a shower, there was no water. No solution was found and I needed to move all my things (which were of course not in the suit case anymore) to again another room... :-(

10 Stars for Madam Binta & Madam Edith and their care! Very nice security staff at entry, who helped me with a mobile charger. Very limited option for vegetarians. Only one type of fruit.

Booking issues and food poisoning...

Had booked by email and received confirmation - one line of email with no details. On arrival I discovered that the negotiated rate had not been applied and this took 2 days to sort out. Was offered tapas and drink at bar and three days later I still have dreadful diarrhea - the only place I ate during my stay was at the hotel - breakfast, evening buffet and the tapas at the bar. These two experiences are all I can think about regarding my overall experience. If I have to add something, I'd say it's very expensive in comparison to the Novotel in towns like Paris.

The staff wasn’t well trained to handle the crowd drained by the holiday season.

The hotel is very nice and well maintained. The reception staffs were very welcoming and professional. However, when it comes to the restaurant and the room service, it was a huge disappointment. In fact, after calling the room service more than 10 times, no one picked up the phone. It was even worse when we went to the restaurant. The staff was not helpful and sometimes almost rude. I remember, the guy gave me the menu and walked away from me while I was talking to him.

This hitel has a very strategic place, i arrived at 2am and i met a good hospitality.. i was badly surprised when i get my room.. rumors of the air conditioner switched off( never seen this in 10years traveling with accor) Rooms very old and breakfast very poor
