The hotel is really old. They did not advise us about the dinner buffet. They had our envelope ready as vio guests but that’s it. Service not good, not a nice building. Learn from Movenpick Hotel! And I didn’t get any upgrade... and my friends with a lower status got one! And there were empty rooms!

The hotel is nice but I had a serious issue with wrong information given to me at the reception on Corona PCR tests process…

Good views of lagoon, centrally located in business district, very neat & clean house keeping, good maintained property, good breakfast option (chef Akie tastefully met our vegan requirements daily, innovatively). Madam Edith understood our long stay requirements & more than the discount, she made us feel at home as well Madam Binta! Great staff overall! Would certainly stay again & recommend!

Staff go an extra mile to meet their customers needs. We had to catch our flights at 6am. The staff requested for our breakfast to be specially made at 4am. Very delicious

The Hotel is in good location and very well maintained. Rooms a very small but neat and clean. The staff was courteous and well informed. I was disappointed with the swimming pool, it was poorly maintained, cloudy water. A wide variety in buffet breakfast. Overall experience was satisfactory.

Although I encountered some health problems while staying at Novotel Abidjan, The marvelous team at the hotel cared of me, pampered me and looked after me. As a DIAMOND MEMEBER of ACCOR hotels I have had my worst experience of stays ever in Novotel Hotel Abidjan, today. I was treated so disrespectfully and so disgustedly like I am not a human being by a staff and a security of the hotel. Never in my life have I been treated with so much disgust. 1. The Bar/Restaurant staff is a very rude and dishonest staff who is also insincere. It all started (24th or 25th) at breakfast. I personally asked him for a cup of hot chocolate drink but. to my surprise he never gave it to me. After I was done eating my breakfast a few minutes later, I walked up to him to remind him of my order and he looked at me so dismissively and arrogantly told me he forgot (without offering any apology for his inaction). This morning (26th) during breakfast he came up to me to demand my room number. I respectfully obliged him and showed him my room card. Soon afterwards he came back with a bill (of 15,000 FCFA). I tried to explain to him that I paid for the room with breakfast inclusive. He was too rude he walked away. I paid the bill (with 2 bills of 10,000FCFA) and waited patiently for about 7 minutes he refused to render me my change. Then i left and reported to the front desk manager. The Bar/Restaurant staff was called upon and he initially denied everything until he came before me and tried to cover up by saying I gave him a tip (which of course he knows it's a big LIE). And after being beckoned upon he reluctantly apologized for his very bad behavior and action. 2. The Security staff (armed private security personnel at the entrance of the hotel) attached to the Novotel hotel almost (with all intent) physically accosted me but for the kind and timely intervention of one of the hotel staff who witnessed the charade. I do walk in and out of the door and each time i am very polite and respectful to the security gentlemen whom I greet at each encounter. But this particular personnel knowing fully well he is armed decided in his own power and might to physically bully me. I have a broken wrist which is supported by internal metal fixture (due to result of a car accident recently). Each time I pass through a metal detector the alarm goes off. I have a medical certificate to authenticate this and back me up in case of any eventuality. Whilst I went out to a nearby pharmacy to buy a few things (I even bought an extra wrist immobilization splint) upon my return I did the required needful and upon passing through the metal detector the alarm went off. I told the security attendant with an apology that I have a metal implanted in my wrist, as he listened to me and beckoned on me to pass through the armed security personnel just jumped right in front of me blocking the entrance and almost pushing me viciously. I was scared and i sincerely apologized to him with an explanation that i am handicapped on my left wrist and I have a metal implanted in the wrist. He refused to let me pass through, shouting at the top of his voice like I am a wanted criminal. I pleaded with him to please have a look at my medical certificate from the American Hospital of Paris so that he can be convinced that i am being sincere to him. He refused to do so. He was going to physically accost me even at that. I had no choice but to check-out of Novotel Hotel for fear of my life and my wife's life because she accompanied me on this trip. Due to the fact that he is an armed security personnel and has vowed to deal with me. And also as a Foreigner in a foreign land I must fear for my life and that of my wife's as well. It is my humble submission that I report to you the turn of events for I really fear for my life and my wife's in the property of Accor hotels Yours Sincerely Chief Ponfa U. Dry good hotel. The only room of improvement is the shuttle at the airport. The booth was empty and had to wait for close to an hour. However at the end the reception organisée a free taxi

The facilities are there but we were there for to enjoy the new year eve fireworks unfortunately there was none. I think the hotel could have organised something their guest, there was sor 3 to 4 mn small show but uh. Also the bath gel does not foam at all. Again the room service was not good, I belive it was due to high demand, there was no card in our room and the kinds were starving, we call 3 times and waited for more than a hour for the restaurant to just bring us the card! We finally call a pizza outside just to be told no food can enter. What do you expect us to do? Kids are starviung, we are calling for you, you are not coming and we order you are not allowing food in. In high period like this, the hotel could have look for seasonal additional service. But the new year day was nice, kids really enjoyed the entertainment. This is our second time there for new year brunch but the brunch did not start on time and the very same excuse, breakfast took longer. These are thinks you can plan ahead and just tell us brunch will start at 1pm so that we will take our precautions accordingly it is far more better than announcing 12h and have people loitering at the lobby.

Disorganized checked in procedure and limited dining menu choices

Firstly at check in, I was told that my Wife and my passport are not sufficient and that my nanny/ housekeeper should also provide an ID. If not, she cannot go up to the room. After which, I was told ID wasn’t required for the nanny. However we will need to sign a letter stating that Novotel will not be responsible if anything should happen to us. I’ve stayed at countless hotels over the world and this is the first time I’ve encountered even heard this. Secondly, the hotel was having dinner party on the 31st Dec 2020 and 1st Jan 2021. We had our meals throughout the few days at Novotel but found the choices very limited. My brochure de beouf was event burnt even though I order medium. So on the 1st Jan night, I ordered food delivery. However upon delivering and accepting the food outside the security, I was told outside food wasn’t allow. There is no any clear signage nor rules/ regulations stating that outside food cannot be brought up to the hotel rooms. If this is so, then Novotel Abidjan needs to improve and increase its food menu choices. The standard of cooking also needs to be improved. I paid good money for three rooms over 31 Dec to 2Jan and I expect the standard of the hotel to be better than this.

Location was good, not many restaurants around but close to the sea, clean, safe, but food not that good and a bit expensive especially the food. reception very nice and welcoming us, and speaking goo English also.

Been surclassed in a suite. Lost my wallet with money and passport in the cafe there, then found it intact at the reception 4 hours later.... The air conditionner in the room/suite was lousy, otherwise every thing was great

The hotel was nice. Room was good, and good view of the lagoon. Staff and reception could be more friendly and helpful. The location is nice, at the center of town, and there are many taxis that can take you anywhere usually in front of the hotel.
