An easy check-in after a long couple of days at Disney, an hour closer to the ports for us, rooms as expected for an Ibis, the rooms didn't appear to benefit from Aircon or Fans, the night staff seemed incapable/unwilling to make any changes, are simple bar order was a struggle! Breakfast was good in a nice building away from the accommodation blocks. 2 to 2 and a half hours drive to Calais

Booked the 'meal deal', we thought with a drink included. Couldn't use the restaurant because of a private booking, so had to eat in the hotel foyer. We're then told that there was only a choice of fish or chicken or salad. Not very good value for money, very poor service. We are regular IBIS Hotel users and we're really disappointed with this service.

The televisions didn't work. The rooms were small and old-fashioned, feeling more like IBIS Budget than IBIS. And the lights didn't work at the breakfast buffet. The buffet itself was poor.

My wife and I wanted to attend a special evening event in central Paris, driving in an electric car from Brussels. The midday to midday checkin-checkout allowed us to freshen up before we headed into central Paris, stay until after midnight, have a late breakfast at 09:30 and then return to Brussels calmly via local roads.

The bed and bath were adequate for a one nighter but dated. The main problem was the very poor sonic insulation. Every sound made outside the room was clearly heard. The people next-door were having their “private” house party until after 2a.m. Reception did not answer my repeated calls (4 times!) So travelling from Amsterdam to the south of France with hardly any sleep is no pleasure when 74!

Breakfast satisfying, as always; staff pleasant, as always; but the room (27) in the building separate from reception and restaurant seemed dated. First time we have stayed in that building. Holes in desk; bedside lighting of bulb hanging from an electrical cord glared in one’s eyes; no phone charging stations next to bed; television stations greatly reduced even since August or September.

Arrived approximately 17.30. Pleasant receptionist, easy check-in. The attached restaurant was a disaster. Don’t go for the cooked breakfast option as it’s a total waste of money. Rooms were clean and functional.

The only hotel I have ever arrived at to find no welcome tray of coffee or biscuits to refresh one after one’s journey. Suggests a meanness of spirit on the part of the management. Room too small to “swing a cat” in. Bed hard but reasonably comfortable. Restaurant offering only a “skeleton service” on Sunday with only two choices per course but fairly tasty for all that. Gives the impression of aiming for the bottom end of the market until you realise that there is a ‘budget’ version next door much cheaper. Heaven forbid!!
