Good apart from single lift, disappearing barman. Rooms very clean but you need walk in showers rather than baths. I am too old to climb in and out of a bath safely.

Room clean and bed comfortable but air conditioning did not work very well windows did not open so stuffy and hard to sleep. Also one small lift serving a large hotel led to problems for my party on checkout. Food was ok. but few staff about- had to chase around looking for someone to serve at the bar. Eating in the restaurant up stairs had to come down to the bar to get a drink to have with my meal. Otherwise a reasonable stay.

Rather basic and impersonal. Staff pleasant but not enough. Bar area not very welcoming and had to go in search of waiter. Evening meal disgraceful. I’m surprised that a French hotel would serve up such poor food. No choice at all. Restaurant on first floor but no drinks service so you had to go downstairs part way through your meal, find a barman and take your drinks back upstairs.

While in the hotel lobby, the air conditioning achieved comfortable temperatures, in both rooms we have booked for a business stay the air con did not work and the room was hot. The air conditioning control panel seemed super old. Moreover, the receptionist at check-in was hard to understand and not particularly friendly. We got a refund of 20% of the hotel price, which however does not pay off if you cannot sleep all night.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Excellent bed and quiet air-con (heat-wave week!) Staff very courteous and helpful. Reception desk sometimes un-manned and no control over entry to hotel or to lift, e.g. at 22.30 Saturday night we just walked in and got to our 4th floor room unseen. Lift access should be by using your room key-card. The garage was also not secure but we were not charged any fee for using it. We think the Accor group should spend some money upgrading security and repairing its garage access doors in this busy city-centre : hotel Mercure is **** after all.

My overall experience was really bad. ALL rooms have carpet (moquette) with a super strong smell. I'm allergic, so quite nightmare. Windows does not open Air-conditioning at room 419 was not cooling. (at all) Refrigerator was not cooling (at all) Wi-fi does NOT work at the room 419. So, really disappointed stay. I was suppose to stay 19 nights but I move to another hotel.

The heating in the room didn’t work and it was freezing cold. They brought movable heater but it didn’t help with outside temperature below zero. We left in the morning and went to a proper 4-star hotel in the city center for the same price.

All the staff we met were very nice and because they were so helpful, they are the reason my overall rating is not lower. The rooms are very small. Adequate for a one night stay but for a 4 night stay, they are very restricting of the ability to unpack bags. On our first night, we were awoken by water dripping into our room near to the door. We later discovered it was likely to be coming from the air-conditioning, but it was alarming close to one of the light fittings. We were given another room at 1.30 in the morning, and although it seems to have been an upgrade, the room was still very small.

Overall satisfying, friendly staff (in particular at the breakfast buffet), good service, everything as expected. A bit annoying that the main door was locked most of the time and ringing the door bell was sometimes only answered after several tries. A bit strange for such a big hotel. Breakfast was good, but we missed some vegetables or vegetable products.
