Very disappointing.

We were disappointed not to be warned that there were maintenance being carried out. We were given a third floor room with no lift in operation. We are both over 70 and though help with bags was offered it was extremely inconvenient. Room was small and in need of upgrade. We were told breakfast was 6.30 - 10am. We arrived at 9.20 to find no fruit available and a minimal selection of other things with the exception of bread and croissants. The water dispenser was broken so we were not even able to fill our water bottles for the journey. In total we paid E89.85 for the room which was poor value compared to the next night at Ibis St Omer where we paid E94.05 for a fabulous stay and overall experience. How can there be so much variation in quality. Ibis Villefranche is definitely off our places to stay while Ibis St Omer is, most definitely on it.

Carpet in room looked very dirty, but in daylight suspect it was the pattern. Bed very hot due t. plastic covering on mattress. Room had peculiar smell. Disappointed that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in room.

Hotel let down by restaurant so will now not rebook.

Reception were very friendly and sorted out the problem with our booking efficiently. The restaurant was a completely different experience. We had to wait for well over an hour for our food and the manager was extremely rude to one of our party who asked how long the food was going to be as many customers who were seated after us had received their food. Unfortunately this will stop us booking this hotel again.
