We had a lovely one night stopover (family of 4) traveling home from the south of France. The hotel was easy to get to on the outskirts of Lyon. It looked a little older from the outside but the inside has been well modernized. Our room was perfect and even had sliding doors to isolate us from the children. We didn’t have time to watch TV but was impressed to see 2 large TVs in the room. The breakfast buffet was very well stocked and had choices you don’t see at other hotels, we were well taken care of by the lady running everything there, she was on her own at front of house but was able to manage all guests needs during the breakfast.

Advised could not be seated in restaurant as we had not booked - however, French people were seated in the restaurant without a booking. Served a steak almost blue, requested medium rare. Was taken back to kitchen, chef popped the steak back in a pan for about 10 seconds and a waiter returned it still very rare. Staff happy to walk past and ignore the fact I was not eating my dinner. Waiter commented that it was rare when to removed my plate and offered me some free cheese!
