We checked into Room 611 and thought it was ok but when we turned on the heating system there was a strong smell of cigarettes. We complained to Reception and we were moved to Room 619. This room was good with no smell. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and comfortable with good views. The man on reception really made our stay very enjoyable, he helped us move to a new room and was very friendly and helpful every time we went in and out of the hotel - it's people like that who make hotel stays very welcoming.

Sewage smell in lobby, restaurant closed, bar unstaffed and not serving after 23:00, understaffed hotel I was extremely dissatisfied

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large clean & funtional. Disappointed that the Brasserie was not open Fri or Sat Sun Eve. The breakfast was very expensive. There was an unpleasant chemical cleaning smell in the corrido & lift. 2 small paper cups in room for hot drink & no glasses just thin plastic tooth cup. Room over looking trees but when window open mosquitoes entered.

We stayed at the weekend. No dinners available even though the kitchen was providing meals for groups.

We have stayed here several times. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Easy to find and easy to get into the centre of Bordeaux. If hotel restaurant is closed there are others nearby.

Very comfortable room & bed which was well serviced by room staff. Excellent, helpful & friendly staff throughout, many of whom spoke good English. This hotel's location provides easy access to Bordeaux city center via the well known tram system.

Room was ok, showing it's age. Bathroom needs some attention - ceiling in shower is mouldy, shower pressure is awful so washing hair took a long time. Door is damaged by water from shower. Air conditioning system is pretty useless, room was boiling at night even though we left it running. Hotel provides thick duvets despite high temperature in rooms so all of us too hot and we all slept badly as a result. Breakfast buffet had a good range of choices but it took a long time for thing to be replaced when they ran out. For about 30 minutes there was no drinking water available and I ended up having to ask staff twice for some.

carpets were absolutely discusting filthy , room service food was over priced and three bits of meat. don't get me started on the beds , if anyone reads this do not stay at this hotel £119 for filth stay at the ibis its cleaner
