We stayed in Bordeaux Lac for a long weekend. The superb tram network made Bordeaux town centre very accessible. It was perfect as we could enjoy the hustle and bustle of a city centre break, seeing the sites, eating out, walking tours, etc, but then retreat to the tranquility of the Mercure hotel by the Lac. The hotel was welcoming, clean, well situated, great, secure, parking, lovely terrace and restaurant. Couldn’t ask for more. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend !!

The hotel appears to have seen better days. The room was spacious and generally comfortable; however, there were noticeable shortcomings in cleanliness, particularly beneath the sofa, under the bed, and around the mini fridge. Breakfast fell below expectations, offering limited variety and food quality that could be improved. On a positive note, the staff were courteous and helpful throughout the stay, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, the experience was satisfactory, but enhanced housekeeping standards and a more appealing breakfast selection would significantly improve the guest experience.
