Awful experience. Our room that we specifically booked wasn’t available and we were told we would get a specific suite and they didn’t tell us it wasn’t available until I noticed once we got to the room. Also to note the staff dropped our bags and there was no apology.

No recognition of ALL Accor status no mention of it. Arrived at 14:30 for check-in. Told to wait for 15:00 to check-in.

We enjoyed staying at the hotel which was very relaxing.

We booked this hotel as a place to relax after running the Marathon Du Medoc and it was the perfect post marathon treat. The spa was great, beds were extremely comfortable, the room had everything we needed, the courtyard was a great place to unwind and the meal we ate in the restaurant was delicious. This hotel is a little out of town if you want to explore Bordeaux but it's probably worth the short tram ride if you want something peaceful and luxurious. The breakfast was also fantastic.

Only criticism would be that it was quite a wait to check-in. But I was rewarded with an upgrade so I’m not complaining.

When we were shown our room it was a bit warm, the front desk turned the AC cooler, we were thinking ok that will work. We come back that night, still warm, we stayed the night there then the next day we call down again because it was getting too hot. Tech came and tried to trouble shoot the problem, brought in a fan while we waited to see if the room would cool down. It did not. We were given the option of a different room which we took and it was MUCH cooler there. Guest experience was great.

Beautiful hotel but serious problems with AC. It just wouldn't cool the room even at night, it was a rough 2 nights. Went down to ask for help and told you cant turn it below 19c or ac wont turn on, no where does it tell you that. In fact when you turn it on it is below that number so you have to turn up the temp to get it to turn on. We had to sleep on top of our sheets and sweated at night. Called down twice and was told they would reset it, still hot. Every time you talk with someone they say ac is fine and immediately offer you a fan, everyone wants to give you a fan. Why do they have so many fans ready when the ac works fine. Other party had to change rooms late at night trying to cool off. Even the hall way on the second floor is 80 degrees( but the lobby where staff is in nice and cold) We where in the gym and 2 other people where complaining about how hot their room was. Did a google search and there a multiple complaints about the ac system. This is not would you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Would not recommend staying here in the summer time.

Beautiful environment, lovely clean spa and fantastic easy walk along the river to the old town. The staff are fantastic, helpful and enthusiastic about the hotel and Bordeaux in general. We loved the restaurant and would highly recommend the signature sushi dishes with Japanese inspired cocktails! Out of this world. Fabulous wine list, the sommelier added a real flare and passion to trying wines from the region. Sitting out in the courtyard withe a glass of wine, absorbing the atmosphere was a real treat. The background music is as well curated as the rest of the hotel, it creates a calm and stylish atmosphere. The hotel staff were genuinely passionate and knowledgeable about the menu, wines and the city in general. Having travelled the globe The Mondrian Bordeaux was a perfect reminder that the French make hospitality an art form!

The hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly but there are areas that need improvement. The check in process was less than desirable. There was a 20+ minute wait to get checked in. There were periods where no one was sitting at the desk, so unsure why there was such a long wait or if the hotel was short staffed. One evening I met some friends at the bar, and there were 3 people already sitting at a couch and then me and two others joined. We sat for over 15 minutes waiting for the waitress to take our order and we ended up having to go find her. Lastly, I wanted to mail 2 postcards that were already stamped and asked if they could go out with the hotel’s mail. I was instructed to locate a mailbox on my own, and the front desk agent pulled up on her computer, images of what the mailbox looks like. I have traveled all over the world and have never had an issue with a hotel sending out a stamped postcard. I was just stunned that a simple request was rebuffed and was told to find the mailbox on my own. The next hotel that I stayed at, took care of it.

Lovely stay. Great for central Bordeaux and Chatrons

We have just returned home after staying at your hotel on Saturday night. I paid for the Premier King Room. During our stay, we raised that we believed we had been put in the wrong room type. I also raised a few other issues, including: - Nobody was outside to greet us / help with bags until we walked through the door. - No offer of water or welcome drink at check-in. - No cot in room on arrival. - My husband, David, is ACCOR gold status and no gesture to recognise that either. We were assured that we were in the correct room type. However, since returning home, it seems we were not. We asked the question on the day and didn’t think to question it again. Please can you explain why we paid for a premier king room but were placed in a signature courtyard twin? I’d also be grateful to know why you ask guests to complete pre arrival forms and then don’t have people available to meet / greet or have rooms set up with the cot? My assumption is that you set up a room with a cot, gave it to someone else and put us in the wrong room. Given I work in the travel industry this is a major faux pas. The staff in the spa and restaurant were excellent. The food and service in the restaurant was very good.

Professional friendly accommodative staff. Beautiful indoor pool. Excellent dinner. Okay breakfast (the kitchen needs to learn how to make a perfect French omelette). Poor location. Small room.
