This is my 2nd stay at the hotel. Check in is very awkward— we had a difficult time trying to find a valet for the car—the elevator keys take multiple tries—the room service was extremely frustrating. I asked for a bottle of wine from the room service menu— the only bottle listed in that category—and had three separate calls asking me what wine I wanted.

It was a delight to stay in the Bordeaux Mondrian hotel. It is cozy, classy and charming. The room was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and professional. Delicious breakfast, outstanding spa, and exceptional service, including welcoming my dog. Couldn’t ask for more.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From check in to check out the staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room design and layout were perfect and the bathroom and bed were both well appointed. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices and the restaurant was amazing for dinner. The staff was friendly, kind, accommodating and patient as we our French was limited but they were patient with us throughout our stay. The location is convenient to the river but a little farther away from the old town. (A short and inexpensive Uber ride). The location is away from The crowds and traffic so it’s a much quieter and peaceful setting. The only disappointment was scheduling a spa treatment. We were unable to make an appointment while there even though I had messaged the hotel that it was a special birthday celebration for my wife. The message was to schedule the treatment upon arrival. Unfortunately there were no convenient times remaining when we arrived. We highly recommend this property if you are spending a few days in Bordeaux.
