From the moment we checked in until we left, the staff were amazing. The pool was our favourite spot, as this was the end of our adventure holiday in FNQ and all we wanted to do was relax, which is exactly why we chose this hotel.
The only area for improvement was the age-old issue of pool chair availability. Although there are signs stating that chairs cannot be reserved, many guests placed towels on chairs and then left for hours at a time. This often meant that people arriving at the pool could not find a chair, despite many appearing to be "occupied" but unused. This seemed particularly frustrating given that day passes are also available. It would be great to see this policy monitored more actively, especially early in the morning, to ensure pool chairs are being used fairly and are available to guests who are actually using the pool facilities. This would make the overall pool experience even better.

Exterior is filthy, bar staff don't know how to say hello, afro bar girl has a major attitude problem. No hand sanitizer anywhere. There's a lacking of effort from what I saw. Genuinely mediocre. The inside of the hotel is clean. Behind bar cabinet in room was dust, rope, books, there's a lack of effort or managerial follow up. Housekeeping very friendly, swap housekeeping with bar staff. Hahaha. I did enjoy my stay though. Thanks.

We stayed for 5 nights. Wonderful location, close to everything including The Esplanade, Woolworths, Aquarium and more. Room was lovely, clean and week maintained.
My only one thing I would have liked, is a better freezer within the fridge. The one we had didn't keep anything frozen, including ice.
Look is beautiful and big enough for many guests. Would stay at the location again.

Ina great spot close to everything. Great service and staff are excellent. Lovely pool a great asset to the Novotel. Bed made a noise every time we got out .breakfast was good only didnt have verity of old cuts after having breakfast for a few days on the Saturday morning they put out smoked salmon at 9:30 am when I went up to get some for the first time they told me the ran out, breakfast finished at 10:30 that morning.i was VERY disappointed.

We always enjoy staying here. Some feedback I have this time: I opened a bottle of moet champagne for my birthday and only had a glass. I rang downstairs to ask for a bottle stopper to save the bubbles, but this was unable to be provided. This seems unusual as these things are often found in hotel rooms. I was also under the impression that our parking was kindly added complimentary this stay, but was hit with $60 on checkout. I should have double checked.
