I recently stayed at the Novotel Amnéville and had a mixed experience. While there are several strong points regarding the hotel's logistics and staff, the room comfort and dining options left room for improvement. The Highlights: Location and Service The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. It is perfectly situated for anyone looking to enjoy the local attractions in the Amnéville leisure zone. • Reception: We were greeted by a very nice reception team. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff remained professional and welcoming throughout our stay. • Parking: For those traveling by car, the secure parking is a massive plus. It provided great peace of mind knowing the vehicle was safe overnight. The Room: Time for an Update While the common areas are pleasant, the hotel itself is starting to feel dated. It’s clear that a refurbishment is needed to bring it up to the modern standards one usually expects from the Novotel brand. • Sleep Quality: Unfortunately, we did not have a good night's sleep. The beds were uncomfortable, which is a significant drawback when the primary goal of a hotel stay is rest. The mattresses felt worn and lacked the support needed for a refreshing night. Dining: Limited Options for Vegetarians/Vegans The breakfast service was another area of disappointment. If you have specific dietary requirements, you may find the selection very restrictive. • Inclusivity: There were almost no hot or specialized options for vegetarians or vegans. • Available Choices: The only items suitable were basic bread, cereal, and fruit. In an era where plant-based diets are common, it was disappointing to see a lack of protein alternatives or more inclusive breakfast dishes. Summary The Novotel Amnéville is a convenient "home base" due to its excellent location and secure facilities. However, if you prioritize bed comfort and a diverse breakfast menu, you might find the experience lacking. It is a solid choice for a short functional stay, but it needs a refresh to truly shine.

Concernant le petit-déjeuner, nous vous présentons nos excuses pour le manque d’options adaptées aux régimes végétariens et végétaliens. Cette remarque est tout à fait légitime et fait écho à des attentes de plus en plus répandues. You can publish what I write anywhere!!! The room was cold, 18 degrees, I heated it up with the hair dryer, I let it run for an hour so the bathroom was warmer and we could take a shower. Do you think that's correct in a hotel which claims to have three stars?? Who decided THAT??? The dining area was also icecold: 18 degrees, so the food got cold immediately! The meal: 200 ml soup which was so little we had no time to really taste it! . Then a dish which was three pieces of pork in a watery sauce served with "frites", we could have been asked if we wanted something more suitable for the ice cold weather, but we were too fed-up to bother. And too cold!! The dishes were not heated and the space where we ate was cold, 18 degrees, as I said before. They served the soup with a teeny watery salad, not a big plate, or the salad in it's own bowl!! There was not even a placemat!

The hotel felt understaffed, the rooms were not particularly clean, the restaurant area was cold and the breakfast buffet lacked attention to detail. We expected a higher level from a Novotel.
