Having stayed here a few times on journey from Switzerland to the Eurotunnel, we were disappointed to see that the outside of the building needs a great deal of TLC, both the fabric of the building and the gardens. We were even more disappointed when we were told that the restaurant was not open on a Friday night - there was no indication on the ALL website that this would be the case. If something had been noted on the website, we would probably have opted to have stayed in the nearby Mercure, but perhaps its connected restaurant was also closed. On checkout, there was no-one on hand to check us out, despite numerous employees in the vicinity. The front desk employee had to leave his post for a “comfort break”, but the failure was that none of the other employees were trained to check us out. The staff were trying their best to serve your guests, but local MANAGEMENT has failed to make facilities available, ie the restaurant being closed without any warning on the website and no cover to serve guests when a member of staff had to leave his post. However the general shoddiness of the outside impression of the hotel can only be a head or regional office failure. This is the first time in 15 years of using the Accor branded hotels that I have felt it necessary to rate our experience below 7.

Airco not working + breakfast was horrible

Airco wasn't working when called the reception they said it will not be working before summer, we had to keep window open all night with all noises coming from the street. Breakfast was mediocre, broken & dirty glasses

2 nights. Rooms really nice, well stocked and lovely view over the pool and garden. The restaurant was closed but we had a lovely meal in the bar.

Usual: it was clean, fully functioning and all staff are very pleasant. Although I have to say, that this is a particular favourite. Not a problem for my two little dogs and one cat and I always get a room that is located best for trips back and forth to the car.
