We use ALL everywhere. I rave about how good ALL branded hotels at run Europe. This hotel was not so good. Service in the restaurant was very, very poor.

Not acknowledged for membership during check in; No peep hole on the room door so you cannot see who is knocking on the door. Also no door chain ring thingy inside either. It's a small town so very safe but normally if it's a bigger city in Europe this feels a bit unsafe. However all staff member kind and helpful. Extremely nice restaurant staff when ordering dinner room services. Super delicious food and room service very quick. Room service menu same as main restaurant which is much appreciated. However breakfast poor selection and not much to choose from. Fruits not many options, hot dishes not many options. The water used to boil eggs often with white foam which looks a bit unhygienic. Bread loaf also has not cloth cover to hold it when cutting the slices so a bit unhygienic. There were a couple of days when temperature a bit low and room has no radiator and no heating air conditioning. Staff helped with electrical radiator which was super helpful. Condition of hotel is ok, more like a 3 star rather than 4 star. No slippers provided.

We had a superb stay. We chose this hotel as stopover to be close to Calais, following a drive from near Bergerac. We often stay in Novotels for their reliable quality, convenience and good breakfasts. This was better than normal. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, the best we have had, in a well designed restaurant run by superb staff who appeared to car. My daughter left a precious magazine in the foyer, which the hotel found and poste back to us in England. This really was very good service.
