Easy to check in. Busy restaurant but good service. Spacious room for three of us. Only thing was that mattress was way too soft for me and I had a very bad back for first few days of my holidays but this will not be the case for people used to softer mattresses.

The hotel is overpriced for what it is, but the worst thing of all was the fleas in the bed. By the next day of my stay, I was covered in flea bites and that ruined my week; I’m still suffering from the irritation. Check your mattresses – you shouldn’t be offering such poor service. It’s the first time in all my travels that I’ve had an experience like this.

It felt like a very expensive Ibis Budget. The location is nice and the staff is generally decent; however, the rooms are not clean, the furniture is cheap and deteriorated, and the towels were more gray than white. The €20 buffet feels like a hidden surcharge. When we arrived, most of the food was already gone, and we were told we could “ask if we wanted something.” That’s difficult to do when you don’t know what’s available—and even when you ask, it takes around 15 minutes to receive it. I am a frequent traveler and have stayed in hotels ranging from 3 to 5 stars. My expectations for a 4-star hotel are a clean, comfortable room with more than just the basics, along with a varied, fresh, and abundant breakfast. Unfortunately, these expectations were not met. Additionally, during check-out, there was no other guests at the counter, although a man was nearby at a table, apparently occupied with something else. I was holding a small child and managing luggage, yet I was asked to wait because another guest was “there first” for check-out. I don’t usually expect priority because I have a child with me, but in this situation—given that the other guest was not actively checking out—I would have expected the receptionist to at least politely ask if it was possible to assist me first.

Can only say that breakfast was disappointing. We went down at 8.45 Am to very little hit food left, coffee machine being cleaned and some degree of chaos. Assuming this is new and by next year will have it under control.

Bonjour Monsieur B., Nous sommes désolés que votre séjour au Novotel Grenoble Nord ne vous ait pas donné entière satisfaction. Nous entendons votre deception concernant la taille de nos chambres et des salles de bain bien que de celle-ci, soit bien spécifiée dans nos descriptifs ,lors de la réservation . Nous comprenons que le manque d'espace ait pu vous gener. Il est également précisé que ces chambres sont concues pour 4 personnes : 2 adultes et deux enfants afin de bénéficier de l'espace nécéssaire pour un séjour agréable. Vous nous avez prévenus et nous vous en remercions, que vous veniez avec un troisième enfant , celui-ci étant agé de moins de deux ans , celà ne pose pas de problème pour nous, mais il vous a été précisé que compte tenu de l'occupation de la chambre soit deux adultes et trois enfants, nous ne pouvions pas installer de lit bébé pour des raisons d'encombrement pouvant entraver la sécurité. Nous sommes toujours à l'écoute de nos clients pour trouver les meilleures conditions d'accueil, mais il est dommage de nous reprocher la taille des chambres quand nous avons fait au mieux pour vous accueillir dans une chambre famille prévue pour 4, même avec un enfant supplémentaire. Nous serons toujours à l'écoute de nos clients pour trouver les meilleures solutions possibles. The hotel was convenient even though a little old. The restaurant is under reconstruction and will be ready in a few weeks. Staff is nice and welcoming. The room temperature was cold even if the heating central system was set at the maximum.
