My sister and I went to the High Tea at the Fairmont resort. The staff were lovely and attentive but the food was terrible. The sandwiches were not on fresh bread and tasted disgusting - salami and chutney! None of the pastries were made in-house. Don’t waste your money.

Great overall. Super kid friendly, my 5 yo daughter loved it, especially the pool and the soft play areas. A couple of suggested improvements. Room booked for 3, however towelling only provided for 2. A few of the restuarants we would have liked were unforuntely closed during our stay. The resort is HUGE and I found it easy to get disorientated. Perhaps some more signage throughout. We had very loud what sounded like piping noises during our stay, particularly early morning. There was visible dust on the phone in our room also.

Grounds of the hotel are good and location is great. The room could have been cleaner, we had several long black hairs in the bathroom and in the bedrooms. The noise from other guests was so bad, we barely slept for the 2 nights due to people banging and kids screaming. The hotel needs some care, it’s definitely getting older, the Italian restaurant could of been cleaner, the table cloths were sticky and had holes in them.

It's a lovely resort and they cater well for children and the staff are lovely and friendly. However, the rooms need to be updated. There's mold growing in the silicone around the sink and emenities that used to be a standard in each room are only available when you call now. And when I did call for a shower cap (I had forgotten to bring one) I was told that they had no stock of shower caps which meant I had to wear a plastic bag designed for used nappies over my head. So not sure if making people call for emenities in a resort is a cost minimising measure, but perhaps stock levels would have been better monitored. The other issue I have and this had happened last year as well is that housekeeping takes a very long time to get to your room every day. We had gotten back to our room thinking it would have been cleaned at around 4pm, only to find it hadn't yet. We quickly asked for clean towels, and toilet paper as we were going out that evening and needed to get ready.
