I was discriminated against due to being a person of colour. When ordering food to be brought up to our room, I observed a member of staff allow the couple before me to pay for their food in their room, but then said that I had to pay for mine and my childrens food there and then. When another member of staff indicated that we could in fact pay when we received the food in our room, he disregard this and insisted I pay then. My children also observed this and noted that we were treated differently and this upset them.

Very good welcome at reception. Room was comfortable, but there was a lot of late night noise, which was not good for a very early start to catch a flight. Good drinking water service in corridor. Bathroom needs some attention, as drain from shower almost blocked.

Room comfortable and clean. Bit of an intelligent test to find the correct lighting (no idea what the pillar light’s purpose is). Drinking water initiative good. Fish an chips with a side order of bread I had was expensive, but I have to say outstanding. Worse experience was having to wait and stand for 10 minutes on arriving until the reception lady noticed I was there.

Hotel was lovely and really well located; but reception team member wasn’t particularly polite or friendly - which wasn’t ideal after a stressful day and a long drive. A “hello” and a smile shouldn’t be too much to ask.

We stayed over in a family room the night prior to an early flight. The hotel is only a few steps from the departure terminal so great location. The room was clean over all however a number of areas of maintenance are required to the room; reading lights beside the bed didn’t work, nor did any of the 4 USB charging points. The wash basin was blocked and the shower very slow to drain.

We stayed at the Novotel when we visited the NEC and found it really convenient, both for the airport and the NEC, and also the train station. The room was very spacious and clean and we ate there on one night and had a very tasty dinner. We would definatel stay here again.

Great welcome and service from staff. However, the room was cramped and small for a travelling family of four. Far too hot and not comfortable at all.

I regularly stay at the hotel in order to get an early flight out. I use the key drop off option as the reception is not manned but find I always have to phone the hotel after to request a copy of my bill as this is not generated or emailed to me.

The rooms were quiet, nice bar and restaurant area downstairs and close to the terminal if you want Marks and Spencer's. The beds were quite soft and the room was warm as the aircon wasn't the best, also the silicone needs replacing in the bath/shower. Would I stay here again? Yes - for the value and one night before my flight is was fine overall

Stayed overnight before early flight. Staff great, however floor 3 was in the process of being refurbished so felt more like a building site than a hotel on the way to the room. Couldn’t get the tele to work. No instructions to help. Had a meal in the dining room which was tasty, however some of our order didn’t arrive and by the time we grabbed staffs attention, we had finished our meal. They were quick to remove these items from our bill.
