I booked 4 rooms. New Facility. Very good breakfast. BUT just I feel I have to say this. The hotel is not worth the money, or maybe the staff are simply too used to guests and have forgotten what good service means. The welcome and service at the reception feel like a production line. Ok Everything is done quickly, but there is no personal touch or real hospitality. It feels like the ALL Accor loyalty program is treated as a favour from the hotel rather than a way to reward loyal guests. Even as a Gold member, I did not feel any difference in how I was treated. And The front manager, Hassan, was especially disappointing. He did not even “say hello”. When I asked about possible Gold member benefits, instead of explaining things politely, he gave me a lecture and spoke to me in a unpleasant way. If this is how they treat Gold members, what kind of service can other guests expect?! Good service is not just about rooms and facilities. It is also about respect, politeness, and making guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, this hotel failed in that respect.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was extremely satisfied with every aspect of my experience. The location was excellent, making it very convenient to get around and enjoy the surrounding area. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, always making sure that everything was perfect. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was very good, with the rooms and common areas kept spotless and well-maintained. The overall atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay. I would happily return again!

As a Diamond member, I am disappointed that I did not receive the expected welcome amenities, despite my explicit request at the reception. The level of service provided did not reflect the standard Diamond member experience I typically receive.

Our stay at Mövenpick Istanbul Old Town left us with mixed feelings. We arrived extremely excited to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Having visited Istanbul for the third time, this trip was particularly special as we were experiencing the city with our family. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Alper, who assisted us with our check-in. He was fantastic throughout the process and made a lovely effort to interact with our three-year-old son. Unfortunately, despite this positive start, our first impression of the hotel was quickly spoiled by another member of the reception team, Alp. While we were checking in, the other staff members were being playful and friendly with our son. He was playing with the desk bell and bin, simply being a happy little boy and trying to make everyone laugh. However, Alp abruptly took the bell away from him and placed it elsewhere in a manner that came across as extremely rude and unnecessary. There were no other guests waiting at the time, so the situation did not appear to be causing any disruption. The immediate result was that our son’s smile disappeared, and he became upset. As parents, we work hard to give our children special experiences and create happy memories, particularly on family holidays and birthday celebrations. It was disappointing to have such a lovely moment spoiled during our very first interaction with the hotel. I understand that staff may need to maintain a professional environment, but the way in which situations are handled makes a real difference. A little patience, kindness and consideration would have gone a long way. I hope this feedback encourages the staff member to reflect on how his actions and manner can affect guests, particularly young children and their families. The Rooms and Housekeeping On a positive note, the rooms were lovely. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep. The rooms themselves were excellent and provided a comfortable place to relax after exploring the city. However, the housekeeping service was inconsistent. On some days, the towels would be replaced, but used drinking glasses and dinner plates from room service would be left in the room. On other days, the room would be cleaned properly. This inconsistency was disappointing and did not reflect the level of professionalism I would expect from a hotel of this standard. Istanbul is a beautiful city, but exploring it can be tiring. After a long day out with the family, returning to a fresh, clean and well-maintained room makes a real difference. Unfortunately, this was not always our experience. Spa Facilities The spa area was fantastic and completely faultless throughout our stay. We all thoroughly enjoyed using the facilities, particularly after long days exploring Istanbul. This was definitely one of the highlights of the hotel, and the spa team deserves credit for providing such a positive experience. The Highlights: Sedat and Servan Despite the disappointments, two members of staff genuinely stood out and helped make our stay more enjoyable: Sedat and Servan. Sedat, in the restaurant, was fantastic. He was always welcoming whenever we saw him and was incredibly helpful with recommendations. His friendly manner made us feel comfortable and valued as guests. Servan was equally wonderful. He consistently greeted us warmly whenever we came down, and his welcoming attitude made a real difference to our experience. These are the kinds of interactions that make guests feel appreciated and create lasting memories. Both Sedat and Servan deserve recognition for their excellent customer service. They demonstrated the warmth, professionalism and hospitality that you would hope to experience throughout your stay at a hotel like Mövenpick. Final Thoughts Overall, our stay at Mövenpick Istanbul Old Town was a mixture of positive and disappointing experiences. The comfortable rooms, fantastic spa facilities, and outstanding hospitality from Sedat, Servan and Alper were all appreciated. However, the incident at reception involving Alp and the inconsistent housekeeping service took away from what should have been a special family trip celebrating my wife’s birthday. I believe the hotel has a lot of potential, and there are clearly members of the team who take pride in looking after their guests. I hope management recognises the excellent service provided by Sedat, Servan and Alper while also addressing the areas that need improvement.

It's a little away from a centre so you can enjoy a nice walk down by the Suleymaniye Cami.. behind the hotel is a nice local area to find hole in the wall places to eat. Balat neighbourhood is also not too far away. Hotel offers sauna, steam room, hammam, indoor swimming pool, all included in the price of the room with set timings for women and men. Breakfast is really good, and served on the top floor, with nice views of the surrounding area. Chocolate hour serves decent chocolates, however a group of ladies kept taking it for themselves without any regard to the others!

The hotel itself is brand new, yet still it would need a little more maintanance (especially the underground wellness area suffers from humidity due to the missing HVAC). The hotel is “dry”, they do not serve any alcohol on the premises, which might be a major concern especially for European travellers and Western standards. This information should be known before booking. Different operating hours in wellness for man and women (the majority of guests are muslims). The staff is nice and helpful.

I had a great stay at Mövenpick Istanbul Old Town. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and well located, but what truly made the difference was the staff. Everyone was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. Their genuine hospitality made me feel at home and turned a very good stay into a memorable one. I would happily return and highly recommend this hotel.

I suppose I was offer a room for disabled people, although I am not. To be honest this is most uncomfortable room I’ve ever stayed in as there was: - no working table in the room - no place in the bathroom to place personal care belongings (I have to move coffee table from the room to the bathroom) - no shower cabin, just curtains - the entire floor gets wet, that is simply unsafe - no body-wash in the dispenser (bad service) In a nutshell, my guest experience was significantly below my expectations (value for money), I will not come back. This was a truly memorable experience. The new hotel reflects the Mövenpick standard perfectly in every dimension and every member of the team offered warm Turkish hospitality. Their teamwork was especially remarkable when the city was hit by rain unlike anything Istanbul has seen in decades. From the janitor to the General Manager, the entire team worked to keep the hotel and all of its guests safe and comfortable. Without doubt, we will choose Mövenpick again next time. Thank you for such warm memories.

The receptionists especially were very good. Everything was clean and modern. However, the safe often took many tries to lock, and some things in the construction were quite flimsy (the wood in the sliding door to the bathroom and where you hang the showerhead handle were both coming loose). Also, for our last night housekeeping for some reason combined our twin beds into one king, which was fine but confusing! Still, overall we had a great time!

I only have one point to clarify. I booked 2 nights & I paid 2 nights, but only got points for one night, why ??

I had a very good experience at Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul Old Town. The staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful. A special thank you to Enes, who really tried to find a quick solution for me. He was very kind, understanding, and helpful. I truly appreciated his support. I would also like to thank one of the housekeeping staff members, who was extremely kind and polite. He even made sure that my child had enough water whenever I went out. I really appreciated this thoughtful gesture, which made us feel very welcome and well cared for. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to feel at home. Everything is well organized, and the staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Everything was really fine: friendly and helpfull reception, clean and calm spa, perfect cleaning service, tasty breakfast. The room is full of all needed things, bathrobes, towels and bed are comfortable.
