The Hot Spring on B1 is closed too early at night (11pm) when compared to most other hotels with an indoor/outdoor bath/hot springs (12am mostly). Paper container provided in the lounge on the 8F is way too small to accommodate some larger snack pieces.

Mercure Nara Kashihara was the perfect choice as we needed a tranquil, easy place to navigate as an older couple. Mercure Nara Kashihara is located very close to the Railway Junction. Staff are very friendly and professional in their approach towards guests. Mr Kong is brilliant in the role of night manager, and a magician in problem solving. A valuable presence in any situation. Breakfast buffet was excellent value. Onsen has to be one of the highlights of our stay, as was the cleanliness. Keeping a high standard can make or break a hotel….

Hotel in very convenient location next to train station which can travel to many places easily. It also have all facilities to our need, staff provided wonderful services, always helpful with smiles which stand out compare to other hotel in Japan. I always enjoy to stay here & be back within few months, each time I was stay more than a week. Will always want to come back for relaxing holidays as I love the osen & love to visit temples around. The food in the breakfast if can change menu abit daily will be better for long staying guests like us then everything will be perfect.

I came by train in a rainy day but did not get wet much. It’s that close! The hot spring was wonderful. Only thing is that I wish they provide cotton yukatas. I did not feel like wearing the Japanese style dotera-like gown provided that I was not sure about cleanness.

Hotel is very near the train station. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Pillows however are a bit too soft. I had a bit of neck ache after sleeping as the pillows did not provide enough support. I enjoyed the hot spring at the hotel.

Nice room and good location close to railway station. Restaurant design is not good, much too crowded especially during limited breakfast hours. Why finish breakfast at 9 when check out is at 11? Should extend breakfast hours from 6:30 to 10:30. That way it would be much less congested with people spreading around to wider time frame.

The Onsen was fantastic and the rooms were very big for a Japanese hotel. It would be better if there was a cheaper option at the hotel restaurant for dinner.

Conveniently located next to the Kashihara Jingumae station, we found this charming hotel well maintained. There is a guest lounge offering complimentary drinks and snacks twice in the evenings as well as a dining room offering breakfast and dinner. The hot springs is ample.

Front Desk staff Misa was so warm and helpful throughout my stay. She helped me get a new fridge when I told her the fridge in my room was not working. She helped answer my questions about getting around town, where to eat, etc. Staff at breakfast were so polite, super helpful with where to sit, clearing the dishes. I felt so welcomed even though it was so busy! I absolutely love the location because the train station is a short walk away. Yes, it’s a bit far from main towns, but connectivity is so convenient. I love this place so much!
