Big clump of black hairs on the bathroom floor, not 1 or 2, like a nest. Room has a card inserted for lights. Seemed like no powerpoints in the whole room worked except for 1 in the bathroom, rang concierge who offered me to change rooms at midnight after unpacking and been out all day & night. I eventually found the card needed to be inserted a bit further, then power works. Would be surprising this hasn't come up previously, could have been relayed when I rang. Set the room temperature lower, but it overrides and defaults back to 22 degrees. Our group had a dedicated check-in but still took way too long and a lengthy queue. Staff were more interested in getting you to electronically register for hotel marketing. No drinking water in the room, tap water only. Only positives were iron & board were provided in room, not always the case. Coffee on exit was good. I would stay at the Parkroyal, hopefully better service & a bit closer.

Great hotel, comfortable, quiet, 2 good cafe/restaurants, excellent staff and amenities. BUT this is the first hotel I have come across in Australia that does not have a blanket available for the bed. I simply cannot sleep under a doona - far too hot, so I always request a blanket. Seriously guys, surely I am not the only guest who needs a blanket to get a good night' rest.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful, however room cleanliness was not great which let down the overall score. My room was very dusty and floors had several types of hair on it. I asked for it to be cleaned while I was out all day and came back and it was still the same so that was disapointing. Otherwise location was good, staff good and food options good.

Everything was fine, except for the lady at the coffee counter (Nagina?) who was very rude and had horrible communication.
When asking where to place my coffee order, she simply pointed to her left without saying a word. There was a clipboard on the counter with other coffee orders, so I wrote mine on the page. After waiting, I saw her then take orders from other customers, so I went back and politely asked if I was supposed to order at the till instead of writing it. She rudely flipped the clipboard upside down and took my order.
She should not be in a customer-facing role with her attitude.

Great new complex (Novotel Tullamarine Airport), well laid out, though not sure about rough brick flooring between entrance and hotel lobby, makes a racket with wheeled luggage and more difficult to control. Despite being next to airport, it was very quiet, didn't even notice flights coming and going.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful, though clearing empty plates and glasses was notably overlooked (slow to respond) in restaurant and conference rooms.
Shower design (like most hotels) is poor, creating a large wet area in bathroom and requires extra towels just to dry it. Also shampoo labelling is too small and can't be distinguished without glasses (which I don't wear in the shower)
Twin double beds seems very common, even as the event leader I didn't get a queen bed.
Bar closes very early, thought we could continue talking after dinner with a night cap.
