Hotel itself is nice. Location's convenient, 7-11 is nearby, breakfast has a great choice of meals, even oat milk was available for coffee, staff is pleasant to talk with. The currency exchange machine in the lobby is convenient but a bit expensive compared to the airport exchange even.

Last one year, I used Novotel Kitchener, as the elevators in Ibis Bencoolen made me stressful. I heard Ibis Bencoolen has renovated elevators and I was back. The speed of the elevators is good. However the response of them is still very bad. Let’s see how the work after finishing the renovation of all elevators.

The check in process was complicated. We wanted to book 11nights but was told fully booked. I went to booking.com and they said 7 rooms available. I booked 1 night. When we got to hotel we asked and was told we could book another 7 nights. After that we were told that we could then book till the end of our trip. We had to make 3 bookings for the 1 stay. The last 2 bookings were in wife's name Helen Tan a Platinum Accor member. Very messy. But not the fault of the man who served us he was very helpful.

During my stay, my clothes left on the bed went missing. The staff did not handle the situation well at first. Communication between shifts was poor, and no one proactively updated me on the progress. Fortunately, the staff found my missing clothes after I checked out. They contacted me and arranged to send them back. I really appreciate their effort in the end.
