Somewhat pricey for its standard, next to a tram stop and practical in that sense. Noise from the street may be bothersome. Rooms are quite small, the only sizeable room type is accessible room, but that comes with equipment in the shower that can not be put aside if you do not need it (at least not in the room I was in). However if you travel from overseas with large suitcases, it is an option to consider. No tea/coffee facility in your room, no tissues (only toilet paper), no minifridge either - three amenities that I perceive as a basic minimum even at Ibis. Bed was comfortable enough, so sleep quality was fine. Reception area is quite small, so it can fell crowded at times, and elevator is a bit slow, allow extra time if you plan to catch a particular tram. All in all, "a budget" option in this town where accomodation isn't inexpensive indeed.

The location is good, near the railway station. All attractions are nearby, and city transport is really close. Thanks to the free city transport ticket included in the accommodation, you could easily move from point A to B. Breakfast was simple, but you had everything you needed: warm dishes, cold options for making sandwiches, cereals with yogurt and milk, fruits, and cakes. The only issue I had this time was that I couldn't sleep well; maybe it was the hot weather or something else, but I felt as tired in the morning as I did in the evening. Also, the refrigerator was missing, so I couldn't keep the drinks and snacks cold.

We stay a lot in Ibis hotels. This stay was the most expensive of all and also having to pay CHF 20 for a parking is exorbitant. Both sets of pillow were to hard and the air conditioning did not work. We slept only a few hours. Next time in Basel, we will search for another hotel. Even if it is not part of Accor.

When we arrived we found the double room had been prepared for only one guest so there were insufficient towels. Although we ran the shower to try to get hot water, it was stone cold. Breakfast adequate but not great.

Room didn't feel clean and there were someone else's hair in the bathroom upon my arrival. You can hear trains all night, which might be a problem if you are a light sleeper. I wouldn't say there was anything good other than closeness to the train station, which is a plus if you need to travel to work.

Great location for the staion(10 minute walk) or you could get the tram across the road from the hotel, 2 stops to the station. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room could do with an update but it was clean, comfortable and a great shower. There was one extra pillow in the room so I asked for another, they weren't keen to give me one but did. There was a good choice of food for the buffet breakfast and they let me fill my water bottle up at their tap. Recommend.

Everything was fine in general. However, there was one extremely rude receptionist who wouldn't let me fill up my small water bottle at the water dispenser. It was ridiculous and ruined my experience at the hotel

Everything was excellent, but in the room you only have Swiss outlets and 2 cell phone chargers. Maybe you could have some others outlets to sell in the hotel or on loan with the room.

We were very satisfied with the way in which Herr Adler helped us to obtain Basel cards in advance of our arrival. However, we were disappointed that we did not receive the warm and informative welcome at reception that we have previously experienced at this hotel. A kettle in the room would be appreciated given that you appear to have discontinued the offer of a drink on aarival.

We only needed an overnight stay before we flew home. Room was pleasant enough and reception lady. We saw a pool table round the corner with cues and balls and so my son started to get the balls out to play and another lady from the reception/bar area came storming around and very rudely told us we were not allowed to play without having bought a drink. We apologised as there weren’t any notices up to say so and put the balls back. Perhaps you should think about putting a notice up to let people know!
