Sightseeing? Book our modern Amsterdam accommodation and you'll find the city simple to explore on foot. It's 6 minutes' walk from Stopera on Waterlooplein - where there's a weekend flea market - and 13 minutes from late-night Rembrandtplein. Museums within walking distance include the Rembrandt House Museum, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank House. Amsterdam Centraal is 15 minutes' stroll, and once there you can hop on boat cruises past stately waterside mansions on the elegant Canal Ring.

I thought the hotel was very expensive for what we got. Others checked in while I was there and I spoke with the desk clerk and I was paying a lot more than other guests at the same time. The room was ok, there was no kleenex or toiletries, the towels were very thin. It was ok and comfortable enough but not for the price. The bar and pizza were convenient. Thankfully there was airconditioning which eventually cooled the room off. I will say the staff were all very nice and proficient, all of them. The staff were very good. We had a room on the back side and it was quiet.
