Staff members at the front desk were very helpful. We stayed at one of the suites and considered the bigger rooms but it seemed not so big, specially bathroom area. Floor was covered with black marks and could use some cleaning or painting. Our package included dinner and breakfast. The worst experience we ever had in the restaurant!!!! We were never treated so badly by a waitress who actually yelled at my husband! We had to wait a very long time to get our drinks and food, by the time we got the food it was very cold. After we got our bill , she asked if we wanted to put it on the room or pay by credit card, and when for no reason she yelled out that it can’t be charged to the room which we didn’t even want to do it. Prior to this there was a lot of yelling between her and the kitchen staff! She ruined our night and ladies at the front desk were trying to make us feel better and send drinks to our room!

The location was not my favorite. Amsterdam is small enough to walk almost anywhere. Stay closer to the Vondelpark and Van Gogh museum area. This area was full of seedy bars/restaurants and “coffee shops” / little shops to smoke. If that’s what you’re looking for then stay here. The rooms are small but comfortable enough for 2 nights. Restaurant food was good and staff was great. This is my perspective as a 40 yr old from NYC. If younger, this could be exactly what you are looking for. It felt safe and clean and close to the trains.
