Booked for a birthday night away. Unatmospheric hotel, staff eating fast food on the ‘reception desk’ on entry. We’re served welcome drinks by a friendly and welcoming staff member. All seemed ok until we attempted to use the room sink, it filled with blocked water and many green/brown distugusting unidentifable balls. It was late, midnight so didn’t want to change room as was tired. Not A great night sleep Due to thinking about the sink issue. Hotel staff notities of problem in the morning and I attemepted a full refund but got offered breakfast cost returned. (Breakfast was also not eaten due to sink thoughts) we then went to try the sauna and again not comfortable basement and not pleasant so passed on that too.

We have stayed in this hotel a few times previously and have always had a very good experience (that’s why we return). This time, there was a slight miscommunication about the breakfast as one of us is lactose intolerant and was initially informed that all bread contained milk, even though this was not actually the case. Unfortunately, this was only clarified by the time we had already finished breakfast. However, staff responded well and actually refunded us. Overall, we will stay here again.

Room was sufficient, front of house service was great. Disappointed that there was not enough mugs for all four of us in the room. And Housekeeping did not clean everything everyday.
