Selena Hall, with its gold and white interiors and stunning chandeliers, offers an elegance and bright atmosphere reflecting the bride and groom's future. Accommodating up to 350 guests, it ensures your dream wedding begins as you arrive.
Spent 3 nights here. As this was my last stop before going home after 2 weeks of travel, I really was hoping to use washer and dryer but they did NOT have one for the guests. They do offer laundry services but that was very inconvenient for me. So whoever that relies on washer/dryer at a hotel, DO AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! My duplex room was on the highest floor. Nice and comfortable but very noisy guests were staying next to my room and kept me awake all night as the kids running and playing in the area where only accessible from lower floor door, where housekeepers normally use. Breakfast was fine, but menus on Day 2 and 3 are exactly the same. No soap or liquid hand soap for upper floor bath. Staffs are friendly and helpful, but that's really about it and I can't find the reasons to come back here again.

I always stay this Hotel before I come back to states past 5 years..I emailed earlier to request quote but it was Korean long holiday no one was working at reservation (really ?) it was a joke.. so i had to stay at other Hotel and called on tuesday but person didn't really care what i was looking for so I had to make a reservation through Expedia.. really disappointed how they conduct business.
front desk was kind and helpful..Room was not bad but mosquitos kept me up and when i ask for some spray house keeping lady said they don't have it..hoese keeping is very late i had to call to get the room cleaned.
there was some misunderstanding at breakfast too so overall Hotel feels like going back on services..who take a vacation for that long on reservation department??? if I was in charge I would make a turn to get the reservation department going..also I still didn't get the reply on
my email.. 호텔이 메뉴도 바뀌고 이것저것 바꾸던데 기본적인게 뒤로가는데 그런거 바꿔봐야 티도 안나요,,이번에 투숙은 정말 기대이하였네요..몇몇 스태프가 살리는 호텔인듯. 서로 소통도 안되서 고객이 어떤 예약을 했는지도 모르고 차지를 하려고하고 고객이 자료제공하고 설명해야하는건 좀 오버같아요..

Review of Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam
My stay at the hotel was good in some respects; however, I believe that Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam needs to improve its level of service to truly meet the standards expected of a five-star hotel.
I have stayed at many five-star hotels around the world, and based on those experiences, I have certain expectations when it comes to guest service, convenience, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, I felt that some important aspects were missing here, particularly regarding the concierge, laundry service, and air conditioning.
For example, upon arrival and before completing check-in, it is common practice at many five-star hotels for the concierge or bell staff to take the guest’s luggage, store it securely, and provide a luggage claim card or receipt. Once check-in is completed, the guest simply provides this card to the reception staff, and the luggage is automatically delivered to the guest’s room. This means the guest does not have to return to the concierge desk or personally follow up on the luggage.
These may seem like small details, but they make a significant difference in guest comfort and are part of the level of service I expect from a five-star hotel.
I also believe the laundry service needs improvement. I sent some of my clothes to the hotel laundry, but because I had not placed a deposit on my room, I was required to go personally to the reception desk to make the payment.
In my opinion, a five-star hotel should offer a more convenient solution. When the laundry staff returns the clothes to the guest’s room, they could carry a portable card payment terminal and give the guest several payment options: pay directly by card at the room, pay at reception, or charge the amount to the room bill when applicable. Requiring a guest to go down to reception simply to pay for laundry is unnecessarily inconvenient.
Another point is the air conditioning. The air conditioning works, but the cooling is quite moderate and does not get particularly cold, even when adjusted to a lower temperature. It would be better if guests had the option to make the room cooler according to their personal preference, especially during warmer weather.
Overall, the hotel has good potential, but I hope the management will place greater emphasis on guest experience, concierge service, luggage handling, laundry service, air conditioning, and overall convenience.
These small but important details are what distinguish a true five-star hospitality experience. With improvements in these areas, I believe the hotel could provide a much more refined and comfortable experience that better reflects its five-star classification.

Nice hotel well located, some services like pool access (additional cost for outdoor pool) and extension of breakfast opening time during weekend could be improved.

Beautiful lobby, attentive staff, excellent customer service. Room was spacious and clean. Indoor pool required all guest, female and male to wear a swim cap. Only down side was that I could smell cigarette smoke on two nights but not noticeable any other days/times.

A lovely hotel. Good location. Attentive staff, great gym and pool. Real wow factor with the decor. Our room was a little tired in spots but huge and well appointed. Club lounge access for my wife's birthday was a thoughtful touch. We will stay again.
