I booked this hotel specifically so that we could get a good night’s sleep before our early morning flight. When I made the booking in May 2026, I was advised that check-in would be from 3pm, which would have been perfect for our plans. However, upon arriving at the hotel, we were informed by a member of staff that there were no rooms ready for us. We were told that this was due to last-minute bookings from other customers whose flights had been delayed or cancelled. Although we were given a complimentary drinks voucher, this did little to compensate for the situation. I explained to the staff that the sole reason I had booked this hotel was because we had travelled over 100 miles and needed to be up at 3am to catch our flight. Despite this, we were left waiting until 9:30pm before we were finally able to check in approximately five and a half hours after the advertised check-in time. I find it completely unacceptable that rooms which had been pre-booked were seemingly given to customers who arrived at the last minute, leaving paying guests who had booked in advance without accommodation at the agreed check-in time. This was an extremely disappointing experience and caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience before an early morning flight. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not book this hotel again.

I am very sorry that your experience with us was so disappointing, particularly as you had specifically chosen TRIBE to ensure you had a comfortable night’s sleep before an early morning flight. I completely understand your frustration at arriving expecting to check in from 3pm, only to be faced with a significant delay. Waiting until 9:30pm to access your room is clearly unacceptable, especially having travelled over 100 miles and needing to be up at 3am. I would, however, like to provide some context around what happened on this particular day. It was a very large event weekend at Wythenshawe Park, which resulted in the majority of our hotel guests staying with us in connection with the event. This significantly changed our usual pattern of arrivals and departures, with a much larger number of guests arriving and departing at different times than we would normally expect. Unfortunately, this placed considerable pressure on our housekeeping operation and resulted in delays in preparing rooms for arriving guests. I appreciate that, regardless of the circumstances, this should not have resulted in you waiting several hours beyond the advertised check-in time. We should have managed the situation better and communicated with you more effectively throughout the delay. I am also sorry that the complimentary drinks voucher did not go close to compensating for the disruption and inconvenience caused. I am pleased to see that, once you were finally able to access your room, you found it very clean and rated the accommodation itself highly. Nevertheless, I fully appreciate that this does not undo the frustration of the afternoon and evening, particularly when the purpose of your stay was to get a good night’s sleep ahead of an early flight. Thank you again for bringing your experience to our attention. I loved the tribe hotel, and I would stay there again. Very good staff and food and bar. The bathroom sink did not look clean and the hand cream had run out. These are small things. It did not ruin my stay but it would improve things for another guest.

The location was convenient and the decor was nice. However, - our television did not work (we reported this, and someone did appear to have visited our room, but the tv still wasn’t working on our return) - the bag containing the hairdryer was badly stained - the bathroom seemed to have had only a surface clean - corners of the floor and the shower were dirty - there was no hair towel

Not a great visit 2nd time around, check in the queues were terrible and leaving hotel 3 am there was a naked man wandering around floor 6 again then at lift where someone was trying to to encourage him to go back to his room… totally unacceptable

When I arrived at the hotel I was given a disabled access room. I have no idea why. I am not disabled and never requested an accessible room. Also the room was at the complete opposite end of the hotel floor to the elevator. Not ideal if you were disabled. The staff on reception were pleasant but friendly. I never went to reception to request a change of room as I was tired and also had to wake up at 3am In the morning so just wanted to sleep. All in all, it wasn’t bad but Would I stay again? I’m not too sure. I travel a lot from Manchester Airport and normally stay at The Holiday Inn. I may just stick to there in future.
