I stay at Epping Mantra minimum 1 night a week and have done so for years, food and service is up there as best in your network, always a great experience. Not expecting any special privilege's but i do get very annoyed when I'm a regular client that experiences of no car parks and bar being closed for drinks/meals when a conference is on i feel is rude, a loyal customer gets inconvenienced when you have the opportunity to make a fast buck is the feeling, have been told for years "we are looking into it" but it's not resolved and happens again. I get it business is tough but being a regular customer and inconvenienced for fly in meetings doesn't sit well with me. Just Wednesday night bar was closed due to private function, colleague and I couldn't have a beer and catch up, asked girl on reception if we could get a drink-she said no its closed, but then asked a young staff member as we saw other people in trader area having a drink and he accommodated it- was baffled how staff didn't actually know what was happening with incorrect communication. My feedback is being a regular loyal long-term customer shouldn't be inconvenienced for 1 night events, the fact is it is a regular occurrence and no resolution-standard " we are looking into it" line dropped.

The room was neat and tidy. However not one staff member smiled, or even gave eye contact. The interactions were very routine and transactional. Particularly when checking-in and out. Very unfriendly and not welcoming for a customer-focused industry.

The hotel is very clean and spacious. We stayed in Room 506 - Main comment is that the utilities in the room are very inconvenient to use ie (1) locations of bed light switches are too high and very inconvenient to use same for the study table light, (2) shelves for clothes are very low - suggest use this for the ironing board and turn the closet where the ironing board is located into shelves for clothes (3) install hanging bars for bath towels (4) the small hanging bar for the face and hand towels can be raised above the switch so it is much easier to use. And a very important thing is to install HANDRAILS in the bath and toilet. The menu could be more extensive. Overall staff service - it seems the staff are not happy in their workplace. I never saw any one smiling or in a happy mood. I never felt they were happy to see a customer in their workplace.

Staff were very helpful, would have been nice if tea and coffee were replenished daily. While parking fees were waived, $25 per day for outside parking was very expensive as room rates were also expensive.
